Chapter 21

Annie's POV
"Annie lets do something!" Hayley yells in my ear.
"Okay okay! How about we make cookies?"

Hayley jumped up in agreement.
"Okay we have all the ingredients except for eggs. How about I run to the store and grab some?" I asked.

I got money from mom and left. I pulled up to the grocery store and I saw a boy kissing Liv. "Oh good. She's finally over Brennan." I thought out loud.

I got closer to Liv and it came clear to me. Liv wasn't over Brennan. She was kissing him.

"Liv. Liv. I want you." I hear my boyfriend say to another girl. Brennan doesn't love me anymore.

"You. You do?" I whisper. He turns around and looks at me with open eyes.

I grab my necklace he gave me and threw it at him. "Keep it." I shouted. I stuck my head in the air trying not not to let them get to me.

"Annie! Annie wait! It's not what it looks like." He shouts after me. I ignore him.

I march past him with my items from the grocery. "You win Liv. Take him." I whisper. Holding myself together.

I hear him shouting for me as I walk by. "Let me go!" He shouts at Liv. She does so when I get in my car. He runs to me, tears in his eyes, but I drive off.

Tears are flooding down my cheeks now. I let them fall. How could he do this to me? He was my first everything. First love, first kiss, first boyfriend, first one to make love with, he was it all. And now he's gone.

Everything I love is gone. My brother. My boyfriend. Oh. What would Caleb want me to do?

He wants me to move on and make this cookies for him because he's starving. He wants to talk about this later. He wants me to be okay. And I will. After I make cookies
