Chapter 15

Annie's POV
"Are you sure this is the man?" The judge asks me. "Yes. I saw him as we pulled through in the ambulance." I look over at Luke. He was laughing quietly. "I know you will forgive me." He mouthed. "The jury has found the defendant guilty of attempted murder." Everyone cheered and hugged me and Brennan.

Brennan got to come home 2 days ago. His head hurts really bad, and he has no memory of what happened. He's okay though.

"Celebratory ice cream!" Hayley shouts. "Yay!!!" Mom and Ryan scream. We walked into the ice cream shop where we saw the devil standing there. Liv.

"Hi Annie bannani!" She jumped up to hug me. "Don't. Touch me." I snapped. Brennan stepped in front of me to keep her away. But then she did what I would've never expected. She grabbed Brennan by the shirt pulled him close and closed the gap by slamming her lips on his. He didn't move. He just stood there kissing her.

I dropped whatever I was holding and ran out. "Annie wait." Katie ran out after me. I ran until I couldn't anymore. I fell to the ground and cried. "I thought he loved me." I cried.

"He does. He couldn't stop her. She had a knife in her pocket." She whispered. "I swear to the good lord above me. If she lays one more hand on him I'll-" I felt arms wrap around my waist. It was Brennan. He had tears streaming down his face.

"I couldn't stop her. I love you so much Annie." He put his head where my head meets my shoulder. He started to kiss up my neck across my jawline and to my lips. We moved our lips in sync as he swipes his tongue across my bottom lip. "I-I'm gonna go before this gets too heated." Katie shuffled away. "Oh my gosh." I laid my head on his chest. I could feel him laughing. "Every time" he laughs.

"You guys! Don't eat all of the dough! We have to leave these for Santa!" Hayley screamed I laughed as I took another cookie.

"He'll still come hay." I laughed. I ran up to my room to watch a Christmas movie with Hayley in my room. "The best way to sing Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear." We both say in unison. I heard a knock on my window. I look out side and see both Brennan and Ryan standing at the bottom. "Hayley. Someone is here to see you." She jumps out of bed.

"Ryan!" She runs into the bathroom and moves her hair around. I wave the boys to come in. Brennan sits on my bed and Ryan takes Hayley into her room. "So. Ive got to tell you something." He grabs my hands. My stomach flips.

"I'm not going to be here to see you on Christmas. We're going to the Bahamas in 3 hours so I had to see you." He hugs my neck and I hug him back. "I also wanted to give you this." He hands me a box. Inside was a necklace that had a "B" on it. "Oh my goodness Brennan this is beautiful!" I give him a kiss. Then I run into my closet. "Here" I hand him the present I got him. "It's nothing big, but I hope you like it."

I made him a photo album of when we were kids all the way to now. "Annie. Where did you find these pictures?!" "Our moms had so many." I had a few pictures of us with Caleb. I saw a tear roll down Brennan cheek. "He's always with us." I kiss his tear.

"That's why I also got you this." He pulled out another box. This one had a bracelet with a "C" on it. "Brennan." I couldn't say anything so he just kissed me instead.

Brennan grabbed my waist and laid me down on my bed. I ran my hand in his hair pulling a little. He let out a small groan when I did that. He rolled us over so I'm on top now. He runs his hands threw my hair and swipes he tongue on my lip again. I start to open my mouth- "Annie! Look what Ryan g- oh my. I gotta go."

I jumped off of Brennan. "Hayley. Wait." I run after her I open her door and she's hugging Ryan he has his hands on her waist and he pulls her closer. He pulled her chin to his face and kissed her. They started to look like me and Brennan so I left. "You taught Ryan well." I laughed. I climbed up next to Brennan and we finished the movie Hayley and I started.

Brennan wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. I fell asleep on his chest. Best. Christmas. Ever.
