I'm not sure exactly what time it is, all I know is that no one else is up.

I have a bit of insomnia, so I stay up late and most of the time don't even go to sleep. I think the last time I slept was two days ago. I usually just stay awake thinking about everything. Literally everything. It's a bit of a problem.

While listening to Celsey, the girl I've had a crush for pretty much the entirety of my existence, sighing next to me on the couch I can't help, but contemplate, can one night, filled with seemingly insignificant moments really change your world?

For instance, what if I listened to my friend David and stayed home tonight. I wouldn't have confessed my deep dark secrets to Celsey. I wouldn't have had my life threatened by Ethan. I wouldn't have kissed the most amazing girl and I probably wouldn't be laying right here holding her. Even smaller than that, if I hadn't gone to the basement by chance. I wouldn't have played spin the bottle or ended up in the closet with Celsey.

It's strange to think about. The shoes one decides to put on that day could be a life changing decision and they don't even know it yet. The turn someone makes by mistake. The extra change someone puts in a beggar's jar. The hole invested coat someone gave to Goodwill. The lunch shared between friends. The embrace shared between family. The words shared between lovers. All at the time may be seem insignificant, but looking back they hold special places in our hearts. There snapshots of our lives that helped shape us.

I read somewhere that the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions per day. Can you imagine. I like to think sometimes that whatever choice you made there is another realm that was just created where you had chosen the other. Could you imagine the complex system that would have to be created for 7,000,000,000+ people multiplied by the 35,000 decisions, which would be 2,450,000,000,000,000+ different realm's and that's just for one day. All because instead of choosing an apple someone decided to eat the banana.

And if that doesn't trip you out try this, take some time and watch the world population clock. It's insane to watch how fast people are born and how fast people pass. Every 8 seconds a child is born somewhere in the world. That being said, every 11 seconds someone in the world dies. In the time it took to think this 3 children were born and 2 people passed away. Insane.

And those children are to be brought up in a world of debt and poverty! Why do we put such value on things such as money. If God wanted people to become mindless drones at the hand of money, don't you think he would have actually created money trees or at the very least made us born with money. But he didn't. Why? Because it's just another thing implemented by governments and people in power to keep the masses in control. Imagine for a second what would happen if we all just decided money was worthless and did things to help each other. If someone needs food they get it. No matter how much it costs. You need gas for your car, oh here let me help you out. What's so wrong with that?

I think money is bullshit because we are told to go to school for years, then the world tells us we need to invest money into more years of education, so we can get a good job that will pay for the education and our supposed happiness that we won't see until we retire in 50 years. Oh, and good luck, with those kids we're most likely going to be popping out when we get married. Freaking nuts.

I must have said that out loud because I feel Celsey stir next to me. I look down to meet two beautiful orbs looking up at me. "What are you still doing up?" she asks, suppressing a yawn.

"Can't sleep," I tell her with a slight shrug. Still wide a awake in fact, but now I feel like I could change the world.

She frowns at my words and gives me a small smile. "Would like me to help you?"

I can't help, but think what on earth could she possibly do that loads of medicine and hospital bills can't, but instead I say, "Can't hurt."

She nods softly and lightly starts drawing circles on my skin. She stops and looks at me, "Close your eyes," she commands and I oblige, but she catches me peeking. "It won't work if you keep your eyes open." I listen this time and keep my eyes fully closed.

She reaches up and suddenly I feel her place her soft lips on each of my eyelids. She takes my arm placing it around her shoulder for a pillow. I rest my head on hers keeping my eyes shut. She snuggles in close to me and once again begins to trail her fingertips across my skin in a soothing manner. I let out a sigh and soon I'm drifting into darkness still feeling those patterns becoming tattoos on my skin.

I guess I will change the world tomorrow. We all will.
