Ch. 7

I stepped onto the porch the sun setting. My skin warming from the sun. I smiled, I was happy. I continued to stare at the sun set and I noticed how beautiful it was. I looked around my back yard there was a pool, which I was excited to swim in. The surrounding areas had healthy green grass and I could hear the light sound of crickets mixed in with the ocean not to far away. I looked over at Julian and Jovanis yard. There was also a pool and there backyard was big. I felt sad, Jovani was probably mad at me and II wasn't sure what I did. I sighed, I walked back inside where dad had some pizza. "So dad where am I going to school at?" I say, I mean I had to go to school. "Actually there is a nearby high school, right around the corner you will be going to."
I wonder if Julian and Jovani will be ther-
Nope, nope I will not do this to myself. I just got here and I'm already stressing over boys. I have to stop now, ugh why me? "So when do I start?" I say looking at my dad. "Well you will start tomorrow, can't have you being a bum for a couple a days. I didn't raise no lazy person."
"Wow thanks dad but I thought that I was always quite active." I say looking at him. "Pfft you thought rella I have seen an old lady who was more active than you. And it should actually be the other way around." I laugh I guess it might be true. "Are you saying that I'm fat?"
"No honey I just think you need to leave the house make some friends. Oh maybe you can hang out with one of those boys next door. Could be good for you, they seem like nice guys." I stare at him in disbelief, is he serious? "Well currently one of them doesn't like me so I'm not sure how that would work out."
"Well how about I talk to Gloria so that this weekend they can take you to the beach? I mean the weather here is beautiful." I look at dad, who the heck is Gloria?
"Dad who is Gloria?" I say looking at him, is he crazy?
"Gloria is there mom, who else would I be talking about?"
"Well I'm not sure who else you would be talking about. But I'm gonna go to sleep," I start to walk up the stairs. "Actually you can't at least not right now, Gloria is bringing over blankets and pillows. Such a nice woman she is, you should really meet her Rella you'd love her."
I turn around and walk back down stairs. Soon I hear our door bell ringing. "I'll get it," I semi yelled. I walk towards the door and open it. There stand Julian and Jovani behind them is there mom and I believe there dad. I notice Julian is smiling and Jovani, well Jovani is not he looks quite annoyed actually. "Here come in," I say. Our livingroom and kitchen is empty except for the pizza box on the counter. I see that Gloria is looking at the pizza box on the counter. "Since your things won't be here for a week or so, you guys can eat with us until you guys receive your things." Gloria looks at me and my dad, I can tell she is a good woman just like dad said. She was a warmth around here that makes you just want to hug her. Okay that sounded weird. "We don't want to intrude, pizza will work for the next week." I knew dad he didn't mind the pizza but I did. "No, pizza is hardly nutritious anyways we enjoy company." I knew dad was gonna give in it was hard saying no to her. "Well alright what time do you want us over tomorrow?"
"Around 7 the boys are busy before that," gesturing towards Julian and Jovani. "Thank you and we'll be there," dad smiles at them. "Your very welcome now here are these blankets." I look at the boys and they have some big blankets. And a couple pillows. "Just set them on the ground and well grab them when we are ready to go to sleep." Julian and Jovani set the things on the ground. "Okay that's it see you guys tomorrow," says Gloria. I hear some murmuring but I ignore it and take a few blankets and a pillow and I walk upstairs. I make my bed and lay down. I slowly drift asleep, my breathing slowing down. And I began to relax I slowly slip into unconsciousness.
