A/N Character Age:
The main 9 (Rose-Jerrimy) are of ages 17-19, for now. If this book ever get's published maybe I'll change my mind and make them all just starting college, which would help Rose begin a relationship with Skye if her friends all left for college. Anyways, I'm content with this for now. Remember I do not sanction all behavior of all characters. Stories are meant to be about flawed people, who don't always do the right thing. They might learn from it. They might not. These aren't supposed to be the "good" kids in school. They do bad things sometimes, some illegal, but it's just a novel.

Chapter 15: Worried Friends
Rose has been disappearing often lately. They all surmise where she's been going, the eerie quietness, her short responses, those daydreams and spaced out tiredness.
She's been hanging out with Skye after school, on the weekends, ignoring the rest of them. She knows that they care. That they want her to fix whatever happened with Luke. The problem is, none of them know what to do about this.
Minnette has been in some pretty sticky situations throughout her life, but none like this. He left her. He left and he hasn't called since. Even the rest of the band has been following Luke's orders of space. Minnette just can't understand why.
What could have happened between them that would completely terminate their relationship? None that Minnette can think of. Those two have always been the closest. They can't just forget about the good memories they've shared.
The best thing they could do is just talk. Talk about whatever happened. Unfortunately, for all of us, he refuses. Minnette knows for a fact Rose has been calling him all day, sending texts, calling on skype, sending snapchats, Instagram DMs, literally every possible way to hear his voice, or see his face. It just isn't working.
On Minnette's search to find Rose, she pushes open the bathroom door.
"Rose, are you in here?" Minnette shouts.
There isn't a response, with the exception of sniffles. Minnette drops her bag on the ground and get on her knees to look under the stalls for Rose's feet. Under the handicap stall, Minnette sees her converse sneakers.
Minnette walks to the door, to knock on the stall, adjuring Rose for entrance.
"Rose, it's me. It's Minny. Please let me in," She coaxes with soft, slow speech.
"I don't want to get up. I don't want to go to class. I can't. I can't even function. Minny, I can't do anything without thinking of him. How can he do this? How can he live without me so easily? You see him in the media. His big smiles. He doesn't seem affected at all. How? But what are you doing in here Min?" Her voice croaks out, cracking and cutting off unnaturally.
