                 Chapter One

Lilly's POV

    I don't understand why she had to go, she did nothing wrong. I loved her and he took her away from me. What am I going to do now that she's gone. I can't pay attention to anything unless it about her, everything in that house reminds of her. Right as of now I'm sitting in class not paying attention. Mother would have scolded  me and told me that I need to be focused.

    "Lilly, Lilly Orchid."  Mr.Maneson called out to me.

I look up to find everyone in the classroom had left to enjoy their weekend. I grab up my things and walk to the front of the classroom.        " Sorry I blanked out, it won't happen again."

       As I was walking out I hear him say "Your mother deserves to rot in her grave." I turn my body all the way around back to his classroom. Shock came over his face as if he known I would hear his remark. I walked up to him,closely to his face and I say. 

      " My mother is not to be spoken of from your mouth, she did nothing to you."

       "Does not matter she wasn't that good at giving me what I wanted so I shall get it from you."

  

   He touched me on my waist and it made me sick to the bones. As soon as I could tell my hand went up and went smooth clean across his face. I turned on my heel and walked away. I went to my locker  where my best friend Leslie Ann was waiting for me. I put In my combination, shoving all the books in my locker. Pullin gn my bag out so I could get away and break down.

" So do you still want me to come over and help you pack up her room."

"Sure can I just need a quick Starbucks run and then I'll meet you there."

"Okay I will be there then, I'll start it off get me a vanilla Bean."

I gave her a look she knew that was the only thing I ever will drink from Starbucks so what make her say such a thing I don't know.

     I was sitting outside my house in my car wondering why my mother was the way she was. It could never be a time when I was angry and she would sit me down and to me that my anger was beautiful. I still don't understand  what she meant by it but it just sounds lovely.

        Making my way Into my house I swear I heard gasping coming from all the way upstairs. I put out drinks down and went up to my mother's old room. There was Leslie sitting next t a box that said 'Things for my Orchid.' That was what she used to Call me she was obsessed  with flower.

        Always had flowers all around the house. In Leslie's hand was a black and white notebook. "Your mother wrote you a journal Lilly u think you should read this."

        I sit down next to her and take the book away.  As I lol on the first page mom left a note:

Orchid I know it's hard for you now that I am gone but I am in peace well until toy do this one thing for me. In this journal is a guide to be popular in high school. It will tell you how to get a boyfriend, how to throw an amaze balls party, and most of all make me happy.

In the box is everything  you Will need to follow the guide. I trust that you will get everything right. If you don't go along the guide I understand. You will always me me proud.

       I couldn't have been more shocked at what this little note had in store for me. That's all my mother would talk about me having fun in high school like she did.

    "So are you going to go along with it?"

      That one little question could be so much more later on. If this is what it takes for my mom to rest in heaven peacefully then yes I would do it because like Momma Rose always  said You have to bloom first to be a blossom.

        "Hell yeah."

I know this is short but I don't want to start this book off to long so I made it as short as posible. I hope you gals and guys enjoyed this first chapter. The song up there reminds me of alot of lost people. So I thought it would fit perfect for the chapter.

Teaser: Over the weekend Leslie and Lily will go shopping at the mall, to follow the guide and her first step in becoming popular.
