Chapter 8

Waking up this morning really annoyed me. I can't sleep last night and I got nothing to do aside from twisting and turning on my bed. And as a matter of fact, I'm late. Today's the graduation day of our seniors and I'm going to perform for them. I didn't practice well, but I think I'll do absolutely good later. After all, Chase is singing with me.

I moved to the bathroom to take a quick shower, and after that, I wore my school uniform. I fixed my hair, curled a bit of its ends, showing off a more bouncy effect. I applied make up which consists of a red lip stick, an eye liner and a blush on. Of course I did not forget to prepare the dress I'm going to wear this night, the graduation ball. I even called Artemisia for help, a help in finding the correct dress.

While brushing my teeth, I heard my phone ringing. I looked at the screen, seeing Alfred calling me, "Hello?" I said ambiguously because of the thick white bubbles trapped on my mouth.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" he shouted. From his tone, I know he's angry.

"Well... I'm in my house, currently brushing my teeth," I answered, smirking, "I know I'm late. No need for you to remind me. I'll be right there on time."

I spit out the water stacked on my mouth and I swiftly went out of the bathroom.

"Ma'am asked me to call you! You should be here in a minute! Do 'ya understand?!" he ordered furiously.

"Yes sir!" were the last words I said to him before hanging up the phone.

I grabbed my bag from the coffee table, turned off the lights, and went out of the house. I entered my car, quickly starting the engine and going into the road.

After almost ten minutes, I finally arrived, parking my car near a white van... again. What a coincidence, huh? I was getting out of the car when I saw Keith running, "Keith!" I shouted. The crowd looked at me, apparently, curiosity hit them.

He turned his head to my direction, obviously looking for the person who called him, but still, he didn't find me. Because of that, I ran like there's a hundred of horses chasing me, going on his track. I slapped his back, making him jump off his place, "OUCH! THAT DID HURT!" he exclaimed, "What's your problem? Whatever it is, don't put me in there!" he added.

"Sorry, dude. It was just... I called you lately, shouting your name, getting a few people's attention, but then you refused to look for me or call me back," I stated, etching a fake bile on my face.

I walked past him, stomping my feet every step I take. As I arrived in front of the main door, I showed my I.D. to the bodyguard, and I'm in. While I was walking, I felt Keith going along with my steps. Left, right, left, right...

"Stop copying me!" I told him, looking at his steely eyes.

"I'm not copying you. You're kinda assuming today, huh? Assuming." he smirked, raising one of his eyebrows. He continued walking, while me, mouth hanging open.

"You're calling me assuming?!" I lividly shouted, forming it as a question.

"No, I'm not calling you assuming! I'm still calling you by your name, but you're too assuming today that I forgot your name a while ago!" he shouted back.

I let him get out of my sight before I said, "Oh yeah?" I said to myself with a "duh?" look.

I followed his way, leading me to the auditorium. When I opened the door, I caught on seeing Mrs. Campbell scolding Keith, "WHY ARE YOU DAMN LATE?!" she asked. I tried to hold back my laugh, but it burst out, causing every member of the group to look at me.
