2. Butterflies

Tae is 7 and Hwan 5
Taehyung's P.O.V.

"You seem to like the field." I smiled and looked at Hwan who was staring at a butterfly.

"It's getting late, we should go home." I lifted him up.

"Can we take that butterfly home, Tae?" He pointed at the white butterfly he had been staring the whole time.

"Unfortunately, we can't. Let it fly away, in freedom."

"Okay."

"Besides. I have my little butterfly right here." I tickled him.

"I love you TaeTae." Hwan hugged me.

"When we're going to bed, do you want me to read you a story?"

"No."

"What? You love stories."

"I love to hear your stories."

"Okay. There was once a time a little boy who loved butterflies."

"That sounds like me."

"Don't interrupt. As I said, he loved butterflies. Do you know why?"

"Cause they're so fascinating?"

"One reason. Butterflies, they are so small and sensitive but they are really beautiful. He wanted to become a butterfly."

"Did he became a butterfly?"

"No. But everyday he went to the grass field near the forest just to see butterflies. When it was winter, he loved to draw butterflies. His parents thought it was stupid, why was he so obsessed with butterflies? Why was it so special? For him it was. Unfortunately, his parents grounded him."

"Why?"

"Cause he needed to study. I guess. He went to the field so often he never was home. Just to eat and sleep. But one day. He was free. Like a butterfly. He could move out and be happy. He kind of became a butterfly. He was free and happy. Studying butterflies was his job. His dream job."

I noticed Hwan was snoring. Good. Now I just need to put him to the bed.

"It was such a stupid mistake. Such an stupid idea." Mom mumbled. Dad and mom were in the kitchen drinking tea. I put Hwan to bed and listened.

"Don't talk about Hwan like that." Dad stood up.

"It's not even him, it's... Never mind. I've should've never brought it up."

Was Hwan a mistake? What? He's the best thing that ever happened to me.

"I don't get why you can't be happy."

"Cause his not real!"

"He's human, he's your son. Just like Tae is."

"It's not the same thing."

"Stop with this attitude. I don't like it and I'm pretty sure Tae wouldn't either."
