The awesome cover is made by @AndyDW. The cover I am so happy with! Thank you :)

I hope you enjoy the story :D

Please don't steal my story idea, this is my idea and my effort, so copying it would be pointless and rude.

Please don't hesitate in asking about anything you are unsure about or anything you would like to know because I would be more than happy to answer.

This chapter has been edited and proofread by me, so if there are any mistakes I would be grateful if you told me. Also it's going to take time in order to edit the whole book and write new chapters so please bear with me. Thanks for all the support <3

P.S - I've changed Rodney's name to Ross because I think it suits him better, but I haven't edited all the chapters so far, so in the next his name will be Rodney again until I edit it. So just excuse that for a while because I'm revising for exams currently so won't be able to edit it too quickly. Just think of him as Ross now, so replace Rodney with Ross in your mind and happy reading!

Chapter 1 — THE AUDITORIUM

She strode drown the length of the long metal corridor, her black leather boots striking the floor; with each step an echo was sent ricocheting around her. Her hands were stuffed into the pockets of her black leather jacket and her face was scrunched into a scowl. It was half past eleven at night and they had all been called for the headmaster's monthly talk, but as usual she was running late after having spent five minutes longer than she should have in bed. Solon had specifically reminded her the previous day that it was of the utmost importance that she attended the talk, but he had been rather scarce in the details of his explanation of just why it was so important. Nonetheless, Amy had the greatest of respect for him as her headmaster and mentor, and by now knew better than to argue with him.

As she rounded a dimly lit corner, her eyes flickered down to glance at the tiny gold watch on her right-hand wrist – it was an heirloom that had been in her family for countless generations, or so she had been informed. Her own knowledge of her family was rather limited; she had never met her parents. Not many of the students at the school had met their families either, so she'd never felt like she was particularly missing anything in that respect.

The little hand on the watch had gone past half past so Amy quickened her space, speeding further along the corridor, almost tripping over her feet in her hurry. She cursed quietly as she steadied herself as the night warning bell rang to sound for the start of the headmaster's speech. Thankfully, the double doors belonging to the auditorium came into sight at the far end of the corridor, and Amy sped to a jog. She reached them in no time and let out a sigh of relief as she gently tugged them open, attempting to remain as inconspicuous as possible. The punishment for being late was usually three hours in solitary detention. She winced as one of the doors creaked nosily on its hinges, but luckily no one appeared to notice as she was greeted by the oblivious chatter of the rest of the school. Her shoulders sagged with relief as she noticed that Solon had not yet made an appearance.

Closing the door softly behind her, she meandered her way across the hall to the couple of seats that she and her best friend, Robert, usually occupied during talks. She caught sight of him sitting alone, waiting patiently for the talk to begin. He hadn't yet noticed her and so she edged her way politely past a group of students, muttering apologies for their inconvenience as they had to arrange their legs to let her past. Robert looked up as she sank down into the chair beside him with a triumphant smirk. His eyes flickered down to the clock on his phone and he looked back up at her in amazement.
