Chapter 25
Giving In
~*~
Amy walked slowly behind her father, careful not to meet her mother's watchful stare. She couldn't. Was this really how she was going to have to live her life? As a slave to people who blatantly didn't care for her? Had Caellum known that they were going to find her? Had he set her up? She couldn't fathom it ... No, he couldn't have - he had said th at her loved her. He wouldn't lie ... would he?
"In here," Eric ordered, opening a large metal door and leading her inside.
She nodded and passed by him, shooting him an angry glare. Stopping suddenly, she realised that he had taken her to the Auditorium. He had completely commandeered the school. The school had no chance now. Eric and Melissa were too powerful.
"What do you need me for?" she asked.
"You're very powerful to us, darling," Eric said, grinning evily at her.
She crossed her arms across her chest stubbornly. "Don't try and warm me to you. We both know that I hate your guts," Amy snapped, stepping up to the podium and looking questioningly at the camera in front of her.
"Why's that here?" she asked.
Eric looked at Melissa, who nodded. "We need you to record this message so it can be broadcasted to all of your friends and fellow students here."
"How did you know?" she gasped, glaring at him.
"I didn't, until now," he smirked. "Well, well, this message will be of even more gain to us than I previously thought."
Amy mentally cursed at herself for betraying her friends' presence.
"Read this," Eric ordered, pushing a piece of paper into her hands. "And then get ready to show your friends exactly which side you're now on. Oh, and don't even try changing the words or you're going to face hell."
Skimming over the paper, Amy's eyes widened and she looked pleadingly towards her mother, who quickly avoided eye contact. Holding her was high, Amy looked directly at the camera and began to speak.
"The school has been commandeered and there is no point trying to resist - all that do will be executed immediately ..." she looked over to Eric, who nodded for her to continue.

Caellum and the others looked up at the screen, watching as Amy spoke. He felt a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach as he watched her speak as if the words came to her easily. Had she planned to be captured? Doubt flooded through him as he returned his gaze to the screen.
"When will you all realise that it will be easier for everyone if you just follow Eric's orders - he can offer you ... protect-" she paused and turned away from the camera. She frowned at something - or someone - and spoke again, this time barely above a whisper. "protection ... I am Amy Hart, daughter of Eric and Melissa Hart - your new leaders. I possess the knowledge ..." she looked slightly confused, before continuing. "You all need me."
Caellum looked away, unable to stomach anymore. How could Amy be saying this?
"At least we know one thing for sure," Solon muttered, looking at Caellum.
"What? That she's a traitor?" He snapped.
Solon shook his head. "She was reading it, did you not see the way she kept looking away from the camera? She was making sure she got the words right."
"It's true," Hannah mumbled. "Eric's a prick and threatens people, it's just the way he works."
"I'll kill him," Caellum growled, clenching his fists tightly.
