*A/N: I'm sure you've guessed already from the title but just a heads up that this chapter has a lot of adult content and is not suitable for all audiences. Also, special thanks to marvelicious for her additions to this chapter. Enjoy!
*Lacey's POV*
I was startled awake by the sound of the door being thrown open forcefully. Alex came in a few seconds later, carrying something over his shoulders. His breathing was labored and his shirt was plastered to his skin from how much he had sweat. I couldn't make out what he was carrying but I had a bad feeling I really didn't want to know either. "Why Alex? Why did you kill Rose?" I asked, but he acted like he didn't hear me. He slowly made his way to the middle of the room and grinned as he dropped whatever he was carrying on the floor. The heavy thud it made reverberated around the room. I looked down, and wished I hadn't. Aura was laying on the floor, blood trickling down her face and onto her shirt. "What did you do to her?" I screamed, pulling against the tight ropes that held me in place. "Nothing, yet." he replied in a tone that chilled me to the bone. "Let her go Alex! They never did anything to you. They're not a part of this." I demanded. He looked at me, confusion in his eyes. "But you're wrong Lacey. She has everything to do with this. They all do."
"What do you mean they all do? What did you do?" I asked, fear evident in my voice. "I've only done what needed to be done. This is how it has to be. Don't you see that?" he replied. "No Alex, I don't. All this time I thought you were dead. I blamed myself every day for what happened to you. I never got over your death. And now you're here, tormenting my friends one by one and I have no damn idea why." I said, my voice laced with venom. "You'll see..in time. And if not, well then I guess I'll have to deal with that later." he sneered and headed towards the door. "I'll be right back. Forgot something." he added and left, locking the door behind him.
"Aura, can you hear me? Wake up." I called out. She stirred, but didn't make any effort to get up. "Aura! Wake up!" I yelled as loud as I could. Her eyes fluttered open and her body flailed around like she was seeing things. "It's okay. You're okay!" I said, trying my best to calm her down. Her eyes darted to me, relief flooding her face. "Lacey! It's you." She tried to stand up but instantly collapsed. "I..I can't stand up. I'm too dizzy." she said with tears in her eyes. "If you can, crawl to me and untie me. I can do the rest." I replied. She rolled over and pushed herself up, her arms shaking from the effort. She slowly crawled to me, stopping every few feet to catch her breath. She finally made it to me but the strain was too much for her. Her head dropped painfully to the floor and I knew she was spent. I cried out in anger and frustration, wishing there was something I could do.
The door slowly creaked open and Alex walked in, a duffel bag in hand. He carefully sat it on the floor and shut and locked the door behind him. He took in the sight of Aura passed out on the floor beside me and grinned. He opened the bag and pulled out metal handcuffs and chains. My eyes widened as I began to realize what he was going to do. He chained her hands together and secured them to the wall with hooks I had not until now noticed. "Don't you hurt her Alex. Let her go!" I screamed and Aura whimpered in response. He looked at me, excitement in his eyes. "I have to. This is the only way." he replied and pulled a wicked sharp knife out of the duffle bag. "NO!" I screamed, hating myself for not being able to stop him. He also pulled out what looked like pliers and many other things I couldn't and didn't want to identify. "Please, don't do this." I begged. "I'm doing this for us. One day you'll understand." he replied and took his "instruments" and sat in front of Aura.
He pulled on her chains, making sure they were secure. She was still unconscious but I had a feeling she wouldn't be for long. "The human body is such a complicated thing, something to marvel. Each organ relying on every other organ system in tandem. It's really a miracle. The way the body can take so much pain and destruction, while still carrying on. Some of this shit is just useless to you right now. I'll tell you what I'm going to do your friend, Lacey. I'll start with her fingernails, ripping them from her dermis one by one. Then her teeth. I'll make sure she'll never smile again. If you scream, or make a sound, I'll cut out her tongue." he said with an evil smile. Hot tears leaked down my flushed cheeks. "Please..don't do this. I'm begging you." I cried, "I'm the one you want. Let her go."
