Chapter 11- How Does Someone Even Last That Long?!

Scott's POV

After laying around aimlessly on the couch for what felt like an hour, Emily finally walked in.

"What took you so long!" I yelled getting up and running to her. She laughed and began to explain every single detail of the conversation, not leaving anything out. Her eyes fell when she told me the part about Amber already having a mate. My eyes grew dark again as I asked her to repeat, just to clarify, even if I heard her perfectly the first time.

"She said she already has a mate at home" she said, looking down once more. I felt the anger boiling inside of me, until I couldn't help myself. I punched the wall closest to me, leaving a huge hole. My panting was started to decrease when the same scent as before ran through my nose, the scent that could make me go from made to in love instantly. This is definitely not healthy. I smelled it getting stronger, from the outside? I thought she was upstairs. I looked out the window to see her climbing down the tree that loomed to my bedroom. I stepped outside, letting her get to the bottom before embracing her from behind. Once my arms touched her, I could feel tingles all over my body as she shivered in delight. There was no way she had a mate.

"Hey there princess, what ya doin?" I asked casually.

"Oh you know, just strollin" she said sarcastically but I could sense her trying to contain her wolf from excitement. I chuckled at her annoyance with her plan failing.

I picked her up and started carrying her to the door, I loved holding. Yep, definitely not healthy. I looked at her once more when I noticed she was wearing my clothes, my smile grew as my wolf yipped in happiness.

"I have to say, I love your outfit. It really suits you" I said, trying to get any kind of reaction from her, blushing, laughing, or even just a small smile. I must have hit the jackpot as I saw her cheeks grow a small shade of pink before it disappeared as quickly as it came.

"Oh this old thing, I just threw this on" she said, her voice squeaking at the end. I smiled even wider knowing I was the cause of it, I should play with her more often.

"I have feet you know" she said wiggling her feet, obviously trying to change the subject. I laughed again, loving every moment we were touching.

"Yes I know princess, I just like carrying you" I said smugly and truthfully.

"And  my name isn't princess" she bit back but I could sense her wolf loving every second of it.

"Well seeing as how I shudder every time I say Amber, I figured princess was a safe bet" I admitted. Almost regretting it once it came out but I saw joy in her eyes before she expertly hid it. I sat her on the couch while she began huffing, obviously trying to be difficult.

"Well princess, since you seem to like to run from me, I have assigned you body guards" I said.

"Oh great! You have a whole team of kidnappers!" She said with little excitement.

"I didn't kidnap you" I said, dropping my smile remembering why she was here. I knew, even though I would never truthfully admit it aloud, I had kidnapped her but it was for a good reason. Right? After she didn't argue, much to my surprise might I add, I continued. "Anyways... Zak, Edward, and Luke should be here any minute" I said sitting next to her. I studied every single detail I could take in.

"Why is there a hole in the wall?" She asked, breaking me out of my trance. I smiled sheepishly before shrugging. I couldn't get mad while watching her. She was the one thing keeping me calm. Man was I whipped! I returned to studying when the boys barged in.

"Hey guys" I said, getting up from my seat. I really was hesitant on inviting them, I mean they were three unmated males. If they get any ideas...

Don't get any ideas with Amber, or I will personally cut off you manhood... With you watching I mind-linked the three misfits in front of me, adding the last part for good measures. They nodded quietly as I started to walk out.

"Bye babe!" I shouted as I walked out. I didn't have to turn around to see her scowling at my back.

---------

3 hours.

3 long hours of thinking about Amber. How does someone even last that long?! I was supposed to be going over the plan for our defense attack on the Red Dusk Pack, but I couldn't keep my focus. My wolf was telling me to go her, to hold her again, while my human side was telling me that I needed to begin the plans. I chose the most intelligent side, my human side. Not that my wolf wasn't smart, but it was mainly with the forest and not plans. I sat there longer constantly thinking. I wondered  why she was being so cold to me but I shook it off, I just couldn't get mad at her. W-H-I-P-P-E-D!

I aimlessly shuffled through my papers, just trying to distract myself. But failed again, this really isn't going to work until I hold her again. So I ran home at top speed, not even stopping to explain to Josh. I just had to see her, as unhealthy as that is.
