Chapter 10- A Whole Team of Kidnappers... Fun

Amber's POV-

I sat there on his bed, angry. He had the nerve to use that tone on me and then he threw me in his bedroom! What kind sociopath does that? Besides him of course. I searched the room for any clothes and found a pair of boxers and an ACDC T-shirt, well I wasn't going to lie, he did have a pretty good taste in music. Once I pulled the clothes on me, my anger disappeared. His smell was so intoxicating and delicious that I just wanted to grab all of his clothes and throw them on his bed and do some intense cuddling.

Weird? Beyond.

I quickly snapped out of my daydream and began searching for an escape route. I smiled evilly as I saw a tree looming up to meet the window, perfect for climbing. I was about to test it when I heard a light tap on the door, stopping me from my thoughts.

"Come in!" I shouted as I sprang into the bed, acting as if I was there the whole time. The door opened slowly and in walked a girl about my age, maybe older.

"Hi" she said cautiously as she stood in front of me.

"Hi' I said back, watching her every move to see if she was a threat or if she was working with 'him'. I saw that she was normal, she had a mark on her neck and Josh's scent was all over her, so this must be his wonderful mate. She stood there for a while, shifting from foot to foot. Well this is awkward.

"I, um, brought you breakfast" she said, handing me the tray in her hands. As soon as I saw it, my stomach growled loudly. I saw that she sat on the edge of the bed in front of me, but I was too hungry to protest.

"So what's your name?" She asked.

"Amber" I replied, my face full of sausage, which really came out as 'Umbuh'. She didn't seem to notice though, only looking slightly amused but quickly hiding it. "Yours?" I asked after swallowing.

"Emily" she replied warmly. The room had a quietness, but this time nothing about the situation was awkward.

"So your Josh's mate?" I asked, my eyes trained on the bacon I was about to devour. I don't know what made me want to strike up a conversation with her but I did.

"Yeah, how did you know?" She asked, I smiled at the memory. He had so much love in his eyes that another pang of jealousy and want flashed through me before it was pushed away again.

"Oh Josh can't shut up about you" I said with a smile, a real smile, not a smirk or a forced smile, but a real smile. I know, I surprised myself too.

"Or at all at that matter" she replied with a laugh. I laughed too, agreeing. We laughed like that over small jokes about Josh or 'him', who I soon found to be Scott. Just saying his name in my mind was making my body shiver.

"So, do you mind me asking why it is that you want to reject Scott? I mean, he is one hunk of muscle" she asked playfully. My wolf growled at her but I knew her real meaning. I knew this topic would come up but I was dreading it, I really didn't want to talk about my 'feelings', for that would only bring up more. I was not about to cry, let alone in front of someone I just met.

"Oh, because I have a mate at home. I don't understand why he thinks that I am his but I'm not" I said, going with my first lie. My wolf scowled at me for speaking those words but I chose to ignore her. I hated lying to Emily, even though we just met. I could tell she was a nice and caring person, one I would get along with great, if I were staying here that is. Her eyes saddened, probably for Scott. I felt guilt as I saw her features. Why is it that I'm feeling so much emotion, I need to get out of here quick before I become a lunatic and start crying.

"Oh okay" she said. "Oh! Josh is calling for me, I have to go. It was nice meeting you Amber." She said as she gave me a hug, I really wasn't the hugging type but I accepted it anyways.

"Nice meeting you too' I said, even though I knew Josh wasn't calling for her, she is really bad at lying.

Once I heard her footsteps fade, I jumped up and threw the window open. After a few attempts at trying to reach it, I gave up and jumped through latching on to the branch. Once my feet touched the ground, I did a small happy dance in celebration for my cleverness until I felt two large arms wrap around me. I didn't have to see who it was, the sensations from his touch told me enough. I sighed in defeat and slumped in his arms. Can I catch a break?

"Hey there princess, what ya doin?" He asked casually. I was getting annoyed with his nicknames, even though my wolf yipped every time.

"Oh you know, just strolling" I said sarcastically. He chuckled slightly and my heart fluttered at the sound.

Stop it!

He began to carry me towards the back door of the house, not like I needed it.

"I have to say I love your outfit, really suits you" he smiled evilly.

Damn it! Stop smiling you huge hunk of muscle! I said to myself, trying not to show any type of emotion at the moment but I was sure he caught me.

"Oh this old thing, I just threw this on" I said trying to sound casual but failing as my voice squeaked at the end. His smile grew even wider at my response, if that was even possible. "I have feet you know" I said wiggling my feet, trying desperately to change the subject.

"Yes I know princess, I just like carrying you" he said with a smug expression.

"My name isn't princess" I said bitterly.

"Well seeing as how I shudder every time I say Amber, I figured princess was a safe bet" he admitted. I could feel my wolf howling with joy that he felt the same but quickly hid it before he saw. He continued to carry me and sat me on the couch. I sat there, huffing and unwilling to do anything.

"Well princess, since you seem to like to run from me, I have assigned you body guards"

"Oh great! You have a whole team of kidnappers!" I said with little excitement.

"I didn't kidnap you" he said, his smile dropping. I didn't reply, knowing we were both too stubborn and arguing wasn't going to work. "Anyways... Zak, Edward, and Luke should be here any minute." He replied, siting next to me. He continued to watch me as I sat there, taking a sudden interest in the wall. I noticed there was a large dent in it that wasn't there before.

"Why is there a hole in the wall?" I asked. He smiled sheepishly before shrugging guiltily. I nodded. Right when I was about to snap at the awkwardness, the door busted open and three cocky and obnoxious boys appeared in front of me, oh this should be fun.
