Chapter 4- Maybe Because She is Our Mate
Scott's POV-
I saw in her eyes that she was mine. She turned around before I could speak. My body was in a trance and I coldn't make myself move, no matter how hard I tried.
"Conner, come with me. Looks like today is your lucky day, your first rogue." I heard the words come out of Josh's mouth but all i could do was stare, stare at the door she left from.
Move you idiot! Go after her! my wolf yelled, trying to take control, but i couldn't. I, the Alpha of the second strongest pack in the United States, couldn't even run after his own mate. That thought scared me, I could handle tough situations or stress, i would have no problem biting another wolf's head off, but i couldn't even run after my own mate. What the hell was wrong with me?
I don't know, maybe because she is our freaking mate?! my wolf snapped, getting annoyed by my actions.
Josh, Conner, don't hurt her. Just bring her to me. I mind-linked, completely ignoring my wolf, who was really starting to agitate me.
Yes Alpha they responded at the same time without question.
I couldn't believe I found what was finally mine. My mate.
