Chapter 7: The Dream

Boruto: So we're doing the Bell Test!?

Sarada: What happens if we don't pass!?

Boruto then hugs Sarada tightly.

Boruto: Sarada, I'll make sure we both pass.

Sarada: Boruto...*blushes red*

A sudden flash appears and Boruto wakes up in shock.

Hinata: You're up!

Boruto: Mom!?

Hinata: G-good morning sweetie..! I'm sorry if I startled you!

Boruto: It's fine mom...why are you in my room anyways?

Hinata: Well, I was sleeping and I heard you yell Sarada's name. I came to your room and you were hugging your pillow tightly while you were drooling.

Boruto: *blushes* WHAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP!?

Hinata: Haha, well you kind of reminded me of your father when you were sleeping...it was so cute.

Boruto: Where is dad anyways?

Hinata: Oh, he's back at the Hokage Mansion. Being the Hokage is hard work, you do know that right, Boruto?

Boruto: Of course I do, but he should also make time for us! I hate it how he always uses work as an excuse just to get away from us.

Hinata: Don't say that, Boruto! Naruto loves us all. He loves his family. You know, Naruto likes to say that the entire village is a family and he'd do anything to protect them and the village.

Boruto: How can dad even say he'll love and protect people he doesn't even know?

Hinata: You see Boruto...everyone in the village does know your father. And your father knows them as well. All the people in the village admire your father for what he has done and for what he has become.

Boruto: What the hell did dad even do? He's just the Hokage. Big deal! Why does everyone want to become Hokage anyways!?

Hinata: Boruto, when your father was younger, and when I was too, there was major chaos in this village. An invasion took place which destroyed this village completely but your father prevented the invaders from invading any further. Your father saved the village, Boruto!

Boruto: Well, who was invading?

Hinata: It was a group named the Akatsuki. Their main goal was to obtain all the Tailed-Beasts. Because certain Tailed-Beasts were inside certain people, the Akatsuki would fight the Jinchuriki (a person who has a Tailed-Beast inside his or herself) and once they are defeated, the Akatsuki would bring them to their hideout and collect the Tailed-Beast. They had all Seven Tailed-Beasts except for the Eight and Nine Tails.

Boruto: Isn't dad the Nine Tails Jinchuriki? Why did they want all Nine Tailed-Beasts?

Hinata: The Akatsuki wanted to summon the Ten Tails, which can only be summoned by collecting all Tailed-Beasts.

Boruto: How many were there that invaded?

Hinata: Well it wasn't the whole entire Akatsuki. It was only two individuals named Pain and Konan.

Boruto: Pain and Konan? Pain is such a badass name! But it was only them two who caused major destruction in this village? They must have been pretty powerful.

Hinata: Well, Pain also used the Six Paths of Pain which summons six other different versions of Pain.

Boruto: Whoa, he did that!? That's awesome!!! What did Konan do!?
