Chapter 12: The Date Before the Gathering

As Boruto and Sarada walk through the streets of the village, they run into a couple of friends from the academy and some of their favorite shops.

Sarada: Hey Boruto, can I ask you something?

Boruto: Sure, anything.

Sarada: In your sleep, you said something about shipping someone named Haru and someone else named Rin. Who are they?

Boruto: Oh it's from this manga...

Sarada: You read manga?

Boruto: Not really, I was just at the bookstore looking through some manga and skimming through pages. I came across that particular section of the manga and I don't know, I just shipped them.

Sarada: Oh I see...what manga was it?

Boruto: Forgot the name...I think it was named Free! or something like that.

Sarada: Free ?

Boruto: Yeah.

Sarada: Oh interesting, I should give it a read.

As Boruto and Sarada continue to walk around, their hands eventually find each other and they start to hold hands, unashamed.

Sarada: Hopefully we don't run into anyone we know...

Boruto: Yeah, same he -

Boruto couldn't even finish his sentence because of what was before him...his mother, Hinata, and his little sister, Himawari.

Sarada: Boruto, something wrong? You gripped my hand really tight and it's starting to sweat...

Boruto: My m-mom is in front of us and heading this way!

Sarada: What? Really? Where?

Boruto had no time to answer her questions as he started to run while Sarada was in the back of him, holding his hand, trying to catch up with him and keep the pace. They run into a dark alley with a dead end and they stay there until Hinata and Himawari walk past them.

Boruto: *pants* That was a close one...

Sarada: *panting as well* Yeah, it was...

Boruto starts to sit down on the ground.

Boruto: Well, what should we do now?

Sarada sits next to him very closely and she lays her hand on his lap/leg.

Sarada: I'm not sure Boruto...what should we do?

She starts to lean in as her heart races.

Boruto: *starts to blush* (What is she doing? Are we gonna kiss? I hope so!)

Boruto starts to lean in as well.

Sarada: (Dammit Boruto, just pin me down on the floor and kiss me already! Kiss me like you won't ever see me again! Kiss me all over!)

As the two are leaning in at the same time, their lips finally meet and they press against each other. Sarada starts to run her hands through his hair and Boruto holds her by the waist, bringing her body close to his.

Suddenly, as Boruto and Sarada were kissing, they heard a yell in the background.

Voice: Big brother, I see you!!

Boruto lets go of the kiss.

Boruto: WHAT!?

Sarada: That sounds like your sister! I think she found us! We have to run away before she finds us!

Boruto: But how!? We're in a dead end and if we walk out of the alley, they'll find us!

Sarada: Remember our chakra focus training? We can do the same thing in this situation and except of walking or running on a tree, we're doing it on a wall!

Boruto: Good idea!

The two start to focus an amount of chakra towards their feet and after, they both start to run up the wall and then start to run and jump across the rooftops.

Hinata: What was that, hun?

Himawari: *pouts* I just saw brother but now he's gone!

Hinata: Are you sure sweetie? If you would've saw him, then i would have too...unless...

Himawari: Unless what, mommy?

Hinata: Unless you somehow used the Byakugan. But how at your age...I don't recall myself learning the Byakugan at your age...

Himawari: What's the um...bya...byagan..mommy?

Hinata: *chuckles* Haha, oh it's nothing dear. All it is, is a type of jutsu that only the Hyuuga Clan possesses.

Himawari: Oh okay mommy.

Boruto and Sarada finally sit down and rest on-top of a rooftop.

Boruto: Finally, we got away!

Sarada: Yeah. You okay?

Boruto: Yeah, believe it! That was actually pretty fun and exciting!

Sarada: Haha, agreed.

Boruto: So what happens now?

Sarada: I'd say let's just wait here until it's clear to leave.

Boruto: Alright.

As Hinata and Himawari continue walking, they run into Sasuke and Sakura.

Sakura: Well isn't it nice to run into you two! *she starts to smile brightly*

Hinata: It is! It's nice to see you Sakura, Sasuke! Hima, why don't you say hello to Uncle Sasuke and Aunt Sakura?

Himawari: H-hi Auntie Sakura..! Hi Uncle Sasuke!

Sasuke: Hello Hima, Hello Hinata. Where are you off to?

Hinata: Just grocery shopping for tomorrow. What about you guys?

Sakura: Yeah we're doing the same. I can't wait for tomorrow!

Hinata: Neither can I!

Sasuke: Sorry to interrupt, but shouldn't we save our conversations for tomorrow?

Sakura: *smacks Sasuke's arm* Hey don't be rude!

Sasuke: ...

Hinata: Well I better finish up, I'll see you guys tomorrow okay? See ya!

Sakura & Sasuke: Bye!

Himawari: Bye-Bye! *waves*

Back at the rooftop, Sarada and Boruto just stay there bored.

Sarada: Hey Boruto, I'm bored, what do you feel like doing?

Boruto: I got an idea! How about we spend the rest of the day at my house? We can watch a movie or play some games if you want!

Sarada: Yeah sure Boruto. *smiles brightly*

Boruto and Sarada start to walk to Boruto's place, however, they forgot an important detail. How would Hinata react if she gets home and Sarada is still there?
