After supper I walked to my room, the hallway was lit up with candles.
It was still very dark, and I was alone. I shook and shivered all the way there, where I would just sleep.
I even whimpered a few times, no one knows this, but I'm afraid of the dark, but only when I'm alone.
If someone was with me, I'd be fine, just the fact that I'm alone in a place I cannot see, is terrifying.
I reached my room, yet again, I didn't want to enter. I built up the courage and walked in.
The room was dark, I wasn't sure if I'd rather be in the dark or the room filled with candles.
I also have a small fear of fire, I wouldn't mind having a campfire, or a candle lit in the living room, but being in the same room as a fireplace, or being trapped inside a room with a bunch of candles, hell no. I fear fire, the exact thing that stole something, something that belonged to someone very dear to me, my mother's life.
My mother was a beautiful person, she was caring, friendly, welcoming, nice to everyone she met, generous, and calm, she always did her best. She cared for me and my siblings, she was an angel in a world full of darkness.
A literal angel, a tear fell from my emerald eye, the voice in my head went too far.
Eight years, she burned eight years ago. Somedays it feels like a thousand years ago, the others it feels like an hour ago.
"Mom," I whimpered as I ran to my bed, I didn't even bother to change into my pajamas.
I laid on the left side of the queen sized bed in the darkness, holding on the my pillow, I cried myself to sleep. As I do so almost every night.

~Time Skip~

The sun shone threw my crystal door which lead to the balcony.
I could smell the fresh spring dew laid across the green grass.
The morning birds chanted where the light shone, damn birds.
You know the saying 'Early bird gets the worm'? Well, I say this instead, 'Early worm gets viciously devoured by the bird.'
Mine seems more accurate, no one likes mornings. If you do, you clearly ain't the worm.

My vibrant eyes slowly opened, the natural light blinding me, I quickly closed them again.
Soon I opened them once more, this time taking in the light.
My green orbs

Look at these air orbs.

Starred at the ceiling, my mind wondering if I should wake or not.
A knock on my door decided for me, "Mistress Tomoko," my maid, Aoi, said threw the door, "School will begin in an hour so I advise you get ready and come downstairs for breakfast.
It took me a few moments to respond, "I'll be right there."
I sat up, my long violet hair stuck out in every direction, a stream of drool across my cheek, and my eyes weren't as bright or vibrant, but more dull and boring.
I threw my purple and pink blanket the opposite side of the bed, kicked my legs off the mattress, and stumbled when I got up.
I walked towards my closet, I opened the doors, I was greeted by many clothes that I didn't wear, like the fancy dresses and tuxes.
I scanned my clothes until a large blue sweater came into view, I took it off its hanger and threw it on my bed. I grabbed a random pair of black sweatpants and white socks, and got changed.

After I brushed my hair and hid it in it's bun thing, I walked down the large marble staircase, and made my way towards the dining room.
When I got there there was hash browns, toast, bacon, eggs, and apple juice.
I rolled my eyes, I was planning on grabbing toast and go, but Kohaku, Yukiko, and the others must have had a different idea.
This is a pretty big meal, and they only make a big meal when there's news.
This wasn't my favourite, so it wasn't bad news, wasn't my second either, so no good news, but this was my third favourite, which meant news, good or bad depending on how you look at it.
"Good morning, Mweiki." Kohaku said after placing my plate and cutlery in their places, "Did you sleep well?" They pulled out my chair and gestured me to sit.
I obeyed and sat in the chair, and they pushed it, "I did, what's all this for?" I asked.
"Well," they started to put bacon, toast, and hash browns in my plate, "I'm afraid to say that your brother won't be returning home tonight, not for awhile."
My eyes widened, my mouth fell open, and I was afraid to move, "W...what?" I stuttered, he promised, he promised he'd stay safe! That lying bastard! That fucking bastard!
Kohaku's eyes widened as they realized they didn't word that quite right," No, no, no,no! No. Not like that." I was relieved, "He's moving to Ireland for business. And won't return until at least summer."
"Summer! Why that long? He'll miss my birthday, and father's and Yuno's!" I complained.
Koha sighed, "Your father going with him."
I tended up, I was getting frustrated, and all the maid, butlers, cooks, gardeners, other people, knew I got mad easily.
I banged my fists against the table, I grabbed a piece of toast and speed walked towards the door, "I'm off the school." I hissed.
"Goodbye, Have a good day." Kohaku said defeated.
"Bye." I said under my breath.
I walked out and slammed the door behind me.

~Long Time Skip~

It's been a few weeks since my father and brother left, even though I didn't see them a lot, them actually being gone was harder then expected.
"Mr. Tomoko!" The teacher snapped me out of my thoughts,"Are you paying attention?"
'Obviously not.' I thought, "I'm afraid my thoughts were keeping me from concentrating, I apologize ma'am." I said in my fanciest tone of voice that I only use for excuses.
She seemed charmed, so did multiple other girls, "We all have those days, don't we? It's alright as long as it doesn't happen again. Could you see me after class?"
I nodded and she continued to teach history.
The rest of the class is a blur, all I needed to do was to talk to the teacher and go home for the weekend, should be easy, right? WRONG! But only if I knew that, I wouldn't have had to be caught in that mess.
Anyway, class ended and I meet up with the teach, I'll never say that again.
"Mr. Tomoko," she looked over her glasses and in my eyes, "I've noticed that over the past week or so you've been paying less attention in class, is anything wrong?" Gods, if only more teachers were this nice.
"I apologize once more, I've just had many things on my mind lately, again, I apologize." I bowed down(Anime style, duh!) and she smiled, "I'd suggest to take a walk around the school, look in a few rooms, the ones with clubs. Maybe if you join one, it could ease your mind a bit, how does that sound?"
Honestly the last thing I wanted was to join a club, but I lied," Sounds a little refreshing, honestly I think I need it. Thank you, ma'am. Have a good weekend."
"Same for you." She sat at her desk and I walked out.
'Join a club, huh? Couldn't be that bad.' That's were I was wrong.
