Sung Jaein POV
"I am so sorry dad, mom. I can't do this. I'm sorry." I kiss my mom and dash to my car. At that moment, I cannot think at all. I drive my car at full speed, without thinking much. A sudden thought pop up in my head. Why I am the one? Why it was always me? Not noona? I've always obey their comands, everything including leaving my ex-girlfriend without knowing the cause. I'm not ready to be someone husband, or maybe a father. At this rate, our marriage gonna be doomed. I don't want to ruin her life. She doesn't fits me. She's too perfect for me. She's smart, funny, reliable, independent and absolutely flawless. I'm not the one for her. I drive to Han River. The place where I always went to clear all my problematic thoughts.
Nayeon POV
I feel so sorry for him and of course myself too. He's too young for this. He's still need time to enjoy his youth. He's just a kid to me. And maybe, he already have a girlfriend. Who knows?
" Mommy, daddy. Why so sudden? Please tell me the truth. I need an explanation. Why a marriage?"
"We want to be a real family. All of us. We've already make the vows. At the church. The four of us. And we don't want things getting worse, if we didn't fulfill the vows. We're very afraid, honey." Mr Im pleaded Nayeon carefully.
"But why don't you tell us beforehand? Look, we're in shock. Think what would happen to Jaein now. He maybe not in his right mind now. I'm very disappointed in both of you. I'm so sorry."
I went out to take a cab home. I couldn't face them right now. It's so suffocating. I went to Han River. To clear my mind from all these mess. Then I saw a silhouette of a man that I just met before. It was Sung Jaein. All by himself, accompanied by some beer, I supposed. He seems awful. He then started to scream.
"Yah, Bae Irene! Look what you've done to me! I'm breaking down right now! I don't know wether you're still alive, stupid in love girl or already dead! Answer me! Answer me! Yah! Don't you feel sorry at all!? Huh!"
He then stopped screaming and began to wail. He's so fragile, easy to break down. He's indeed still a kid. I went to sit beside him. He don't even take a look.
" Happy now? Feeling good? Sometimes we need to let those things out before they're gettin worse, you know? You're so amazing to do that here, in public. Luckily cops didn't caught you here."
"What is so amazing about yelling here? I did it here because cops will drag me to jail if i did it in California. Then my family would be in embarrassment here. I need to take care of their hearts." He said sadly.
"If you're always take care of others, will you have the time for yourself? Care about yourself more, Jaein-shi."
Sung Jaein POV
She's right. But I have to. It's not because I don't want. I have to. It was already 12 p.m. I need to get on my bed right now. I'm worn out. I got up and walked to my car.
"Are you sure you can drive right now? You should have take a cab home." Nayeon yelled at me. She seems to be very worried about me that makes me feel that I'm someone to her. Ah! Snap out of it, Jay! She's like your noona.
"Yah Sung Jae In! Where do you think you're going!?" Tiffany noona was here. I know that voice already. " Nayeon? Why are you here?" Tiffany said with her crescent eye-smile.
"Oh, unnie. I'm here's by coincidence. Just want to take some fresh air. Need some space. Then I saw him by himself there." Nayeon explained.
"Luckily you're here. Your parents are so worried about their one and only daughter. Let me take you home. Okay?"
"Yeah, sure. Thanks a lot, unnie."
"Enough of chatting will you? I miss my bed."
