Phil's POV

"Okay Phil, we can be friends" Dan says to me. I smiled at Dan with excitement as I threw my arms around him, catching Dan off guard as we fell onto the ground, ending with me landing on top of Dan. I felt my cheeks redden as I heard people trying to contain their laughter, and I could tell that Dan was feeling embarrassed too.

"Sorry" I say as I got off of him and we both stood up. Dan awkwardly scratched the back of his neck as I looked at the ground.

"That's okay" He responded. I looked up at him and went to say something, but was cut off by the bell, again. Okay seriously, that's twice now, and both times I've fallen down and tried to talk to a friend after standing up again.

"What do you have now?"

"History"

"So do I! Let's go" I followed after Dan to our classroom, finding myself getting weird looks and could hear people whispering as we passed by. I noticed Dan tense up in front of me, and I sighed internally.

When we got to our classroom, we stopped and I turned to him and asked him where he wanted to sit. Most of the seats were vacant, but I could tell that he was looking at the seats up in the back row.

"Up at the back" Dan replied, his voice so quiet I almost didn't hear it. I nodded my head in response as I followed him up the back and we quietly sat down. At first we didn't speak, but then we began to ask each other questions about each other.

"Do you have any siblings?"

"Yes, I have one brother name Martyn. Do you have any other coloured clothes apart from black?"

"Yes. Some of my shirts are white, but no, most of them are black. Why did you move here?"

"Because of my Mum's job. How long have you lived in this town?"

"My entire life. I've never moved house. What's your favourite colour?"

"Seriously. Is that a proper question?"

"Yes, now answer it" Dan smirked as he waited for me to answer.

"Fine, I like lots of colours, but my favourite is green. What's yours?"

"Gold, black and white." Dan and I continued to ask each other questions until the end of the period. The time seemed to fly by, and I sighed in annoyance as we stood up and left the room. I turned to Dan and I looked up at him, and for the first time since I met him, he smiled back at me. His teeth were sparkling white and his dimples showed either side of his mouth. I really liked his smile, and I soon found myself smiling back at him.

"You know, I actually had fun that period." He admitted, and then looked down at the ground.

"I'm glad." I smiled at him. I then put my arms around him again, and I felt Dan awkwardly put his arms around me. He then stepped back, and I watched him walk away, his smile still fresh in my mind.

Dan's POV

"I actually had fun that period" I suddenly admitted to Phil, and I found myself doing something I hardly ever do, I smiled. Phil smiled back as he stared at my smile.

"I'm glad" He replied, and he hugged me again, but this time, we didn't fall over. I awkwardly put my arms around him. What the fu*k do you think you're doing you fagg*t? You're too desperate and Phil won't want to be your friend anymore.

SHUT UP!! He hugged me first and he's fine with it. Friends do hug each other.

Yeah, so do people that are too desperate or who are in a relationship you idiot! Are you trying to give people more reasons to be mean to you?
