Dan's POV
We had arrived at the hospital the next morning after finally getting everyone out of the house, hoping that we'd be able to see Kian. We had gotten a call this morning that Kian was alive but he was weak, which I was relieved about. jumped out of the car and followed Phil through the front doors with the others walking behind us. I looked around the foyer and then approached the front desk and waited until one of the ladies looked up and noticed that I was waiting for her to address my presence."How can I help you?" She asked smiling at me.
"Uh, we were hoping that we could see one of the patients here" I answered, and she turned her head slightly so she was facing the computer.
"Name?"
"Lawley." She then typed something up, and looked back at me.
"He's in the first room down the right hallway to your left" He informed, and I thanked her as we headed for his room. When we reached the right room, we knocked on the door.
"Come in" Kian announced, and we entered the room. Kian was laying down on his bed on his back, his arms either side of him and he was connected to a monitor and the drip. He was wearing a hospital gown too, his clothes on a chair in the corner of the room. I looked back at Kian and he slowly opened his eyes and smiled at us.
"Hey" He said, his voice weak.
"How are you holding up?" I asked.
"I'm alright, except that I've got a hole in my stomach and its hard to move, but I'm still breathing" Kian replied.
"I'm so sorry Kian, about all of this" I start to apologise.
"It's not your fault. I would've still gotten shot either way. I broke the deal. At least you guys are safe" He interrupted, and I stopped speaking. The others started talking to him as well, asking him what it felt like, or if he was scared, but I still couldn't stop myself from blaming it on me. Phil noticed it and I felt him wrap his arms around me and pull me closer.
"It's not your fault Dan. He risked his life to help you, and at the same time, he was trying to get himself out of the mess he caused by breaking the deal with Thomas" Phil muttered.
"Yeah, but it was about me. It's my fault he even did it in the first place, and its my fault that he got shot" I responded.
"It's not your fault, Dan. If anything, Thomas is to blame because he actually shot him. Please stop blaming yourself" Phil begged and I sighed as I nodded my head and I stopped arguing with him, but the same thoughts echoed in my head.
"So how much longer are you in here for Kian?" Tyler asked Kian, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"The doctor said that I'll be in here for the next couple of weeks, since I need time for the hole in my stomach to heal" Kian answered. "But until then, I'm stuck here."
Once we had finished talking to Kian, we said a quick goodbye and then headed back down the hallway to the foyer, closing his door behind us. We passed the receptionists as we walked out of the hospital, and got into the car. I sat next to Phil and Tyler in the backseat, and most of the ride was quiet, except for the music that Connor and Troye were playing, but I was too caught up in my own thoughts again. I started mumbling my thoughts to myself, and almost forgot that I was in a car with other people until I felt Phil put his hand on my thigh to get my attention.
"Dan, you're doing that talking to yourself thing again" Phil informed, and I felt my cheeks going red as I stopped mumbling my thoughts to myself.
"Oh...sorry" I replied. Phil chuckled slightly as we fell silent again.
We eventually arrived back at Phil's house and went back inside once everyone arrived. We all sat in the living room, dining room and kitchen and talked for a while, but that didn't last for long.
