Dan's POV
We finally reached the cafeteria after fighting our ways through the crowds and they asked us what took so long. Joe, Phil, Connor and I looked at each other and for a moment didn't know what to say. I was about to answer when Connor beat me to it, unable to contain himself.

"We saw Joey and Daniel kissing in the bathroom so we left and went to the one upstairs instead" Connor blurted out, and all of our friends gasped, Connor then looked at me and mouthed sorry, I couldn't help myself, it won't happen again and I said that it was okay.

"I thought that they were friends with Kian, and they hate gay and bi people" Troye said, confused.

"They do, but they haven't told anyone" Joe replied. They then continued to talk about it, until Kian and his friends entered the cafeteria. Kian looked over at us and glared at Phil, and I squeezed his shoulder for comfort. They then sat down at their table and we joined in on the conversation. A few minutes later Joey and Daniel walked in, and they immediately stopped holding hands. We watched as they approached their table and Kian started asking them where they'd been. The questions slowly became more and more strange and awkward and we then heard Kian say,

"Joey, why is there a hickey on your neck?" And Joey and Daniel froze. When Kian and his friends realised how quiet they were they looked and Joey then at Daniel and eventually managed to put the pieces together.

"Oh my god, you two are secretly together?! How long have you been together?"

"A few months" Joey answered hesitantly.

"A FEW MONTHS!! YOU'RE SAYING THAT YOU'VE SECRETLY BEEN DATING ALL THIS TIME?! YOU SICK FAGG*TS!!" Kian shouted. "YOU KNEW WHAT THE RULES WERE, AND YOU USED US TO BE POPULAR!!"

"Yeah, but so did Connor!!" Daniel argued, and Connor wasn't happy with that.

"I DID NOT! YOU THEN WATCHED ME SUFFER WHEN YOU COULD'VE HELPED ME!!" Connor roared and Troye tried to calm him down. "I SAW THEM KISSING!!" The cafeteria suddenly filled with gasps and Connor seemed to be happy about it.

"You're sick!!" Kian yelled at Joey and Daniel, and they began to beat them up. We watched and did nothing as they cried out for help.

"Connor please, Connor help us please!" They pleaded.

"No! You deserve this! You deserve to experience this just like Dan and I and every other gay or bi person had to!" Connor replied and he watched, feeling satisfied. Eventually Kian and his other friends stopped hitting Joey and Daniel, and they both stood up and walked out of the cafeteria, tears in their eyes. We all looked at Connor, and I gave him the you-shouldn't-have-said-that look, and his satisfied smile wiped away, and he nodded his head ashamed. Connor then stood up and headed out of the cafeteria with Troye, and we stayed behind, as our table erupted with noise from the gossiping. I turned my head and looked at Phil, and he stared back at me with a blank expression, and then smiled awkwardly.

Connor and Troye eventually came back and sat down with us, and Troye filled us in on what happened, whilst Connor remained quiet, his head bowed. Troye told us that Connor found Joey and Daniel asking each other if they were okay and Connor said that he was sorry about what he said. They said that it was fine and that they understood his actions, and then walked away together. Troye then found Connor standing in the hall alone and they talked for bit and then came back.

"So what do you think will happen now to Joey and Daniel?" Zoe asked, and everyone shrugged their shoulders, not able to provide an answer.

"I don't know, but we do know that Joey and Daniel will never be able to sit with Kian and his friends again"...

Later that day (Still Dan's POV)
Phil and I had reached our classroom, and I felt a knot in my stomach. Being late to class is something that never happened to me, but that was when I was alone and had no one to talk to. We had gotten caught up in conversation with our friends and we didn't notice the time.
