Max sighed as he lay on his bed, looking up at the gray ceiling. 'Why can't I see color and Ross can?' Max thought. He groaned and rolled over on his side. There was a soft sound of Ross trying to hold back tears. Max felt horrible, but there was nothing he could do. . . even if there was, would he take it? Did he even like Ross like that?
Ross sat on the floor with his back against his bed. Silent tears ran down his face, feeling horrible for just slamming the door on Max. Ross sighed as he wiped the tears off his cheeks. Besides your one true love, not loving you, Ross was glad he finally got to see color, the world got kind boring with the same three colors.
Every color seemed vibrant and beautiful, all having their place, and filling that place perfectly. He just wished Max could see color as well. He never thought about loving the tempered ginger but now that fate has opened his door, he decided he did like him, a lot, but life's a bitch and breaks you're heart into pieces. "Why? Why dont you love me Max. . . " Ross whimpered softly.
Max heard this and felt horrible, he has to make it up somehow. He then got up and knocked on Ross's door. He heard a few sniffles before a faint 'come in' reached Max's ears. He carefully opened the door and slipped inside. He saw Ross sitting on the floor, his knees against his chest.
"Ross I'm sorry I dont see what you do. . ." Max said as he sat next to him. "Its c-cause. . . you dont l-love me back." Ross said not looking at him. Max didn't know what to say. His feelings were all mixed up. Go with fate, or your heart? But his heart broke as he saw tears run down the younger males cheeks.
Max stayed silent as he made Ross look at him. Ross turned to him hesitantly, his eyes filled with tears. Max then placed a soft kiss on his lips. Ross hesitated but kissed back as soon as he could comprehend what was happening. The kiss was sweet and filled with passion, explaining more words than a book could do.
Once Max broke away he was surprised not to see the same gray everywhere. 'Color!' Max thought happily. He looked at Ross and smiled. His brown curly hair falling perfectly in his face, his pale skin fitting him nicely while his ocean blue eyes were perfect, even if they were filled with tears.
"Something wrong?" Ross asked, confused of the look on Max's face. He shook his head and pressed their foreheads together. "I'm just admiring how amazing you're ocean blue eyes are." Max said with a smile. Ross's face soon lit up and a huge smile made its way on his face. He tackled Max in a hug, his arms going around his neck. Max laughed and hugged back, happy that a whole new world was opened up to him.
