Josh's POV//

I open the door for Tyler before getting in the drivers seat. I plug in my phone, playing some music and singing along openly. Tyler hummed the tunes too, I didn't think he'd know these songs.
We pull into the parking lot, and park the car in my usual spot. I help Tyler out of the car, pulling my bag on my back at the same time. He gets out and walks beside me. A few guys start walking towards us. I saw Tyler flinch as they go to pat my back.

"Joshua Dun! The man we want to see! You signed up for the soccer team right? Try-outs are today. Good luck, you might need it ." One of them laughed at the main guys comment and with that they ran off. I look back at Tyler, to check on him. He was shaking lightly. I pull him closer to me, as we walked into the school. People glanced but didn't take another thought to the shaking Tyler and 'the new kid' walking in together.

I frown slightly as the bell echoes loudly throughout the long corridors, signaling that classes had begun.
I look down at Tyler,
"I'll see you in Calculus." I give him a small hug.

Everyone had cleared the hallways and I took this opportunity to give Tyler a small kiss on the forehead.

"Don't worry Kitten in here for you.." I mumble against his skin.

He blushed and smiled before walking our separate ways.

-----

I walk into the Calculus room, seeing only the top of Tyler's head as he rest his face down into his arms. I raise my eyebrows at the sight before walking over to him.

"Josh! How're you liking the new school buddy?" Brendon slid in front of me, smirking widely. I cock one eyebrow at the tall boy before shrugging.
"It's been decent."
I walk around him and tap on Tyler's shoulder. He lifts his head slowly.

His eyes were droopy and the corners of his lips turned downward. A twinge of pain hit me after seeing the look that spread across his face. He shook his head drowsily.

"Get to your seats!" A strict voice spoke. It was the Calculus teacher. I was hesitant to take a seat.

"Meet me at my car after school. You're coming back home with me, okay?"
I spoke swiftly, not waiting for a response and I scuttle to my seat. I would glance at Tyler every minute or so, watching his pencil drag steadily across his paper. I huff, realizing I can't help him at the moment. I felt defenseless.

I obliviously twirl my nose ring, looking down at the problems on the sheet.

---

The bell rang and I threw my bag on my shoulder, pushing past the shuffling feet and to Tyler's seat.
I press my forehead to his. He smiles weakly.
"You okay kitten..?" I whisper faintly, but in an audible tone.

He nods.

I shake my head.

"Promise me. Promise you're okay baby boy."

"Promise, dog breath."

My eyes widen and I put my hand to my heart in shock, acting as if I had just been shot in the heart. I spoke over-dramatically

"How rude!"

"Whatever!" He giggles and pushes me lightly before throwing his bag on his shoulder too.

I hastily helped him out of his seat. I kiss his cheek nonchalantly before walking with him towards the cafeteria.

A few seconds later a red-haired girl stops us in our tracks.

Debby.

She flicks the hair out of her face, batting her eyelashes.

"Joshie I need to talk to you." She grabs my wrist.

"I'll be right back, okay Tyler?" My voice cracked in a nervous manner.

He nods quietly.

Debby pulls me around the corner.

"Misha is right over there, act flirty with me." She pointed at Misha with her pink nails.

I just look at her. I can't do that to Tyler.

"Josh!" She speaks loudly, Misha looks over at this. She quickly presses her lips to mine. She grips my hands and pulls them to her ass.

"J-Josh.." A small voice was heard from the left. I quickly tore my lips from Debbys and to the direction of the voice.

Tyler's POV//

Josh's head turned toward me, a horrified look set onto his face.

My heart shattered.
I turned and ran. I ran through the front doors of the school and ran onto the soccerfield, sobbing violently. I just kept running until I ran into something hard and fell backward.

"Watch it fag!" It was the voice I heard from the day I first met Josh.

It was the football player.

He gripped my shirt and picked me up off the ground. He growled and grit his teeth.

"Fucking homo. I need to teach you a lesson."

He slams his fist into my face repeatedly, punch after punch blistered my face. Blood oozed down my face streakily. Everything went into a blur. I felt my body thud against the ground.

--

The lilac sky had bursts of orange spread across it. The sun was setting by now. I've been lying behind the bleachers of the soccer field for the majority of the day. An hour ago was soccer practice, yells and cheers heard until complete silence filled the atmosphere an hour later. My body trembled as the cold breeze brushed over me. I just stared. Stared up at the sky through the open slits between the stairs. I'm not sure exactly how long I laid there but it was dark by the time I got up. I set my back pack down and dug through the bag. I found my pencil sharpener in the smallest pocket.

Deep. Do it deep. You fucking homo.

I tore it apart, holding the blade in my hand after a while. I threw the plastic in my bag. I hovered the sharp blade over my wrist. Three days clean, all down the drain. I grip it tightly, dragging it across my skin.

Death is what you deserve. I told you Josh doesn't love you. He PITIED you.

Blood rose from my veins and surfaced to my skin. I lost track after 27 slices. My arm dripped blood. The red liquid dropped and mixed into the soil underneath me. I felt dizzy. I needed to get out of there. I grabbed my bag and started walking towards the parking lot. A car was parked in the lot still.

Move away from the car Tyler.

I walk towards it, my shadow was only visible. I heard sobs originate from the car, as I took a few more steps closer, I realized it was Josh's car.

MOVE AWAY NOW.

He was still out here. My heart stopped at the thought of what happened with Debby and him. Why?

I thought he loved me.

My knees grew weak and I fell down. My whole body was fragile.

I lost too much blood.

I saw a pair of black Vans appear in front of my face. A gasp was heard and before I knew it, arms were wrapped around my waist and lifting me up. I saw a glimpse of a teary eyed Josh.

I gave in to his grip. I passed out in his arms, the last thing I saw was the glint of street lights reflecting off of his fallen tears.
