Chapter 7: Hallucination or Danger?

Hey guys! THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the reads. I wrote the first paragraph of this chapter while baking, and I burned a pan of brownies because I was busy with wattpad. You guys are lucky your awesome or else I would be mad about my brownies...

~TY'S POV.~

I woke up to the smell of... Nature?

I opened my eyes, about to scream, and then realizing what happened.

My best friend and I accidentally murdered someone so we're running away. Yup (you can't tell but I popped the P on 'yup'. Just so you know.) just a regular day in the life of Ty. I heard a noise in the bush. I turned to my side to see Adam curled up sleeping, clutching the fabric of his sleeping bag. He looked so cute when he was sleeping. What? Shut up Ty... No you shut up! SHUT YOUR MOUTH TY! Make me, Ty!

Okay I really need some more sleep..

I nudged Adam. He stirred in his sleep, but didn't wake up. I poked his face. Again. And Again. I basically just sat there poking his face for a few minutes, lost in thought. I was torn out of my trance when Adam grabbed my wrist.

"STOP POKING MY F**KING FACE!!" He yelled.

Oh, forgot about that...

"Sorry. There's a noise in the bush." I said. He let out an annoyed sigh, then started to escape his sleeping bag.

*SNAP* *CRACK*

"There it is again Adam!" I whisper/screamed. I grabbed Adam by the wrist and scooted back. Farther into the cave we found last night. There was something missing...

Like...

The cave...

"Adam, what happened to the cave we were just in?"

"I-I don't know... And these are a different type of tree..."

"Adam, I have the worst feeling, and I think-"

*SNAP* *CRACK* *BANG* *POP*

"RUUUUN!!!!!" We yelled in sync.

We jumped up from our sleeping bags, only to find that there were ropes tied around the outside.

"WHAT THE HECK!?" He yelled.

Suddenly, we heard the loudest crack.

And to our surprise, a very large, dirty, and scary figure appeared from the bushes around us. He looked like an ogre or something! Whatever it was, it shouldn't live in reality...

"OH! If it isn't my dinner! Just in time!" It boomed.

"IT'S BREAKFAST TIME THOUGH!" Adam loudly whimpered.

All the talk of meals is making me... Starving...

When's the last time I've eaten?!

Crap... Wait, my grandma told me that she once didn't eat for a whole 2 days and she had hallucinations. That must be it! I hope that's it...

"WELL TIME TO EAT!" It yelled, it's breath worse then it's appearance.

Just run Ty. It will never catch up.

I heard a voice say. But who's voice?

Follow the river.

Through the thicket.

Find the ocean.

Then you shall skip it.

Who was talking to me in my head? A river, a thicket, and an ocean? Skip it? What do they mean 'skip the ocean'? I don't know, but I just gotta get away from this monster, alive!

I heard a loud horn.

"ARTHREBEN! LEAVE THE MORTALS TO ME. THEY ARE IN MY DOMAIN." I heard a voice boom.

At least that voice sounded human.

I hope...

"ARTHREBEN HAS NOT EATEN. NOT YET AT LEAST." The creature yelled. He reached down and wrapped his large hand around my torso. He picked up a large rock with the other hand and raised his arm, planning on colliding the stone with my face. I closed my eyes, hoping for the worst, when something unexpected happened...

Also, for those of you who don't know, a thicket is basically a forest, but with a LOT of trees, closer together.

Question: You were just captured by ogres and tied up over a fire. The ogre left to go to the washroom, so noes your chance. How are you going to escape, without falling into the fire? Rule: anything can happen to help you escape, so BE CREATIVE!!
