Kates POV

I got up, after a long night slumber. Liam had been keeping me company the entire night, being the nice guy he was, he had been checking on me from time to time. My room left the scent of febreeze and tears. I heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Liam asked with such great concern. He leaned on the doorway, watching me make my bed.

"Fine" I paused in my spot, taking a deep breathe.

"Here" he handed me my phone. "I took it because I didn't want you to be more sad" I smiled and read the fingerprinted screen.

"37 texts messages, 19 missed phone calls and voicemails" which, of course, had all been from Niall. I shoved it in my back pocket, still not saying a word.

"Hey, I know it's hard but you can get over this. At least he cared? I mean it's not like he didn't care, because he does like you. It's better he over reacted than under reacted" he added before embracing the hug.

"Whose side are you on?" I kindly joked.

"Listen, I have to go soon in about an hour" I forced a fake smile on my face.

I didn't want anyone leaving me alone at a time like this. I heard an interrupting doorbell. Liam closed the door and ran down the stairs. After seconds, he called aloud.

"Kate!" His voice was questionable. I hopped down the stairs, trying to seem happy. I was still for a moment. I was shocked and confused.

The dark curly haired boy stared with his bright green eyes, his left surrounded dark colors, which looked somewhat swollen.

"Hi" he side smirked his nervousness taking over. I still had no answer. "Can I talk to you?" He looked at Liam, who was also dumbfounded.

"Oh yeah, sure" he walked carefully to the kitchen.

"Kate?" He noticed I had been in the same position.

"What?" The sass in my voice was real.

"Please?" I accepted his willing self. I brushed past him to the living room, took a seat onto the fluffy couch, Harry quickly following. He coughed, unsure of his words. "So I just was to say that I'm sorry. I know I seem really flirty and I'm sorry if I come off that way it's just- I don't know" he stumbled his words, it took him awhile to get something out. "I don't want you to think of me as the player that flirts with everyone"

"You kissed me while I was dating Niall" I stated with such confidence.

"I know, it was wrong. I'm sorry" he said again.

Harry had two different personalities: he can be the biggest flirt you've ever seen or the most sweetest down to earth boy ever. That or he's just a really good actor.

"I don't know, Harry. I mean I'm just so confused" I rubbed my eyes, annoyed with his presence.

"Harry we should get going" Liam interrupted, knowing it was wrong for him to stop by. Harry got up, not breaking his angelic stare.

I watched the two walk out the door, looking through the window. Harry slammed his door in anger. I literally didn't know why he cared so much, nobody ever cared about me that much.
