Ramiz's POV
"Okay," I said slowly, "Tell me exactly what happened." Rameena sighed.
"Well, Natalie had to leave early, so around four forty-five or so, I called her, and she wouldn't answer. Then, I got a call back from her, except, it wasn't her, it was Ria," Rameena explained. Her mother slammed the breaks, sending Keyarie who, for some stupid reason, wasn't wearing a seatbelt, face first into the passenger seat.
"Woah woah woah Rameena," her mother said, "You know you're my favourite, and that I'd do just about anything for you, but you didn't mention that this is Ria!" Rameena shrugged indifferently.
"So mom? She took my best friend." Keyarie sat back in her seat and buckled up her seat belt.
"It's four against one," Sali said, "She can't beat all of us together."
"I know, but remember what she said before she moved, she said she was gonna ch—" Rameena looked her mother dead in her eyes and said, "Mom, I don't care what you say. Ria took my best friend. And I'm going to do whatever I have to in order to get her back." Her mother sighed and pressed the gas pedal.
"If you kids die, us moms are going to kill you." Keyarie grinned softly and sank in her seat.
"I have no doubt in my mind that you will."
I stared out the window. It was such a nice day outside. It wasn't fair. Rameena, Sali, and Keyarie's best friend and my crush just got taken away. Why was it nice outside?
I hate Mother Nature...
"Why couldn't you have walked her home?" I mumbled.
"What?" Keyarie asked, looking up from her phone. Of course she was on her phone.
"I said, why couldn't have one of you walked her home?" I asked, rage building up in my voice. I knew it wasn't any of their faults, but I was too angry to care.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ramiz," Keyarie said sarcastically, "It's totally are fault. Because we should've known that Natalie would get kidnapped by your psycho, clingy, ex-girlfriend, right?" She snapped.
"Well maybe if you guys cared more about her than we wouldn't be in this mess right now!" I yelled back. Sali grabbed me by my collar. First Rameena, now Sali. I'm shocked Keyarie hasn't done it yet.
"Listen fuckboy," she hissed, "We care a lot about Natalie. If we didn't, do you think we'd even be driving to fucking Malton? I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW A PLACE CALLED MALTON EXISTED!" Rameena's mom tried to calm us done, but it was hard since she had to keep her eye on the road at the same time.
"I even ran!" Rameena added from the passenger seat, "And I never run!"
"We care about her more than YOU do Ramiz!" Keyarie said, jabbing me sharply in the back. I wiggled from Sali's grip.
"I care about her a lot, ok? I just," I sighed and stared out the window, "It's all just so complicated. I've never felt this way about another human being before. Just Natalie." I could practically sense the smirks and the "awwes" about to come out of the three girls. In three...two...
"Awww!" The said, smirking softly. I shook my head. We drove for another half hour, because Malton was super far, until I finally recognized the address.
"Pull over here Mrs. Esho," I said. She pulled over, right in front of the house. As if on cue, everyone opened their eyes.
"Damn," Sali said, "What a dump. This is basically Keyarie's life, but house sized." Keyarie yawned and punched her in the arm, but not so hard that she would get scratched again.
"My mom used to live in Malton," Keyarie told us, "I wonder if she lived around here..." We all stepped out of the car.
"Should I wait?" Rameena's mother asked.
"No, I don't know how long we'll take. I promise I'll call you when we're done, though." Her mother sighed.
"You better." And she drove off. We all looked at the house, and walked side by side together to the back yard to think of a plan.
"How about," Keyarie suggested, "We only send Ramiz and Rameena in," we both looked up, "and if they need back up, they'll scream, and me and Sali will come in too. Ria won't expect ALL of us to come." Rameena glared at her.
"What? Are you saying we can't get the job down by ourselves?" Keyarie smiled.
"I have know doubt that you two could kick Ria's ass. Well," she said, looking at me warily, "You, Rameena, could kick Ria's ass." I rolled my eyes. "But this is NEW Ria. And psycho bitches always come back new and improved. If we all run in there at once, she could catch us all off guard."
"Then no one could save any of us," Sali added. I rubbed my neck.
"I don't know guys. What if I have to hit her? I don't feel comfortable hitting girls."
"Nigga, she kidnapped your crush. She isn't a girl, she's a psycho bitch. Those are two different things. You can hit her," Keyarie said. Hard to argue with that logic.
"Ok, ok. C'mon Rameena, let's go." We went to the side door and Rameena picked the lock and opened the door. We crept downstairs to the basement. There was a LOT of handcuffs and ropes and...other things.
"It's like '50 Shade of Grey' up in this bitch," Rameena commented.
"Did you watch that movie?" I asked. No answer. Hmm... Suddenly, we saw a door. A door at the end of the hallway. Usually, that's the room where the people that got kidnapped always were. So that must mean that Natalie was in the room before that, because it would've been to obvious. We opened the door and saw Natalie. She was tied in a chair and there was a body near her feet. It wasn't Ria it was...Dhanica? Rameena pressed her fingers on Dhanica's neck.
"She's still alive. I feel her pulse." I nodded.
"Hey Natalie, we're going to take you and Dhanica home now, ok?" Her eyes widened with fear, as she tried to squirm out of her chair.
"Hey, no it's me, it's Ramiz." But she wasn't looking at me, she was looking above me.
"Ria is right behind me isn't she?" I asked. Natalie nodded.
