It's such a beautiful song and Kellin's voice is perf. :')

It was as if time had stopped. I couldn't hear the sound of the wind brushing across the leaves of the trees. I couldn't hear the low hum of the refrigerator from the other room. The only thing I could hear was my heart beating faster and louder. I couldn't move. It was like my body had gone into a state of shock as his lips touched mine.

As if he noticed my lack of ability to move, he pulled back. The look confidence that he had just minutes before had quickly dissipated from his features. His face contorted into a look of embarrassment.

"I-I'm sorry. Was it bad? Oh my God it was, wasn't it? I'm sorry. I've never never done that before. I-"

I grabbed the back of his neck and pulled his soft lips back onto mine, cutting off his nervous ramblings. My lips moved slowly against his. Our movements were hesitant; neither of us had done this before. His arms circled around my waist, igniting me with warmth and comfort. It felt right to be this close to him, it felt like home.

We broke away from each other, trying to catch our breaths. We stared at each other for a while. He studied my face, his eyes raking across all of my features. His formerly confident demeanor made its way back onto his face. He slowly walked back in front of me with two strides. His hands cupped my jaw as he brought our lips back together. This time, the kiss was more fervent; forcefully reconnecting like two magnets that had been separated.

Our breaths became more shallower as our lips moved fervently against each other. My hands reached up, tangling my fingers into his soft pink hair. His left hand left my cheek and found its way onto the small if my back. He started to walk forward, his lips never leaving mine. I moved back wards until I felt my back hit the wall. It felt like my head was spinning and I couldn't think straight. I couldn't tell what was real anymore. The only thing I could feel was the feeling of his soft lips against mine, and the butterflies that were filling my gut.

Our movements began to slow down. Now, our mouths moved slowly against each other, savoring the feeling of our lips.

We broke apart from each other with grins on both of our faces. His eyes held so much joy and love; he looked happy.

"I should probably walk you out, before your parents think you got kidnapped or something," he said with a goofy smile.

And I walked out the door with my heart thumping loudly against my chest and my head far above the clouds.

~🌟~

The darkness of my room completely enveloped my body like a thick, heavy blanket. The room was chilly and my fingers felt numb. Thick drops of water hit against my roof, creating a soft melody. I always enjoyed the rain. It made me feel at peace. It reminded me of how the world wasn't all sunshine and rainbows; it always held a little darkness. But it reminded me of how darkness could be beautiful. Rain helps the flowers bloom in the spring. It helps bring color and life to the world. You have to first experience the darkness in order to truly appreciate the light.

A flash of lightning struck against the ebony night, igniting it with light for a few seconds before it was enveloped with darkness again. Thunder boomed through the sky, demanding to be heard. The drops of rain were now falling faster and heavier.
