I shivered when the cold breeze bit into my skin as we walked down the streets of Ohio. Josh walked next to me, igniting a swarm of butterflies every time his arm brushed against mine.

"Hey, you cold?" Josh asked, looking at me with concern in his eyes. I nodded quickly and crossed my arms over my chest. It was stupid of me to walk out of the house with just a t-shirt and jeans when winter was nearing. He grabbed the hem of hoodie and he began to lift it over his head. But before he could get his hoodie off, I placed my hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"Josh, what are you doing?"

"Can't you see? I'm gonna give you my sweater," he said with a grin.

"Are you sure, J? I don't want you to be uncomfortable." His eyes saddened when he realized I was talking about his scars.

"It's okay," he said with a shrug, "you know I'd do anything for you," he placed his hand above mine and looked me in the eyes. "Besides, I'm wearing long sleeves under." He gave me a quick peck on my lips before he lifted his hoodie over his head.

"Lift your arms up," he demanded. I rolled my eyes and threw my arms up in the air.

"I know how to wear a hoodie y'know."

"I know," he said with a broad grin, "I just like taking care of you." I gazed up at him in pure adoration as he fitted the hoodie over my head.

"What?" He asked when he noticed I was staring at him.

"Nothing, I just like looking at art."

And it was true; Joshua Dun was a masterpiece and I wanted to memorize every single detail.

Josh was crouched over a red rose with a camera in his hands. After he took a picture of it, he reached down and plucked it from the ground. Josh and I were on our first date. The idea was to explore town and take pictures of  things we thought were beautiful.

"For you, babygirl," he said, handing the rose over to me. My lips slowly stretched into a smile as I carefully took the rose from his hands.

"Thanks, Josh. You're the best," I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my lips against his. His lips were slightly chapped from the cold and they moved slowly against mine. He placed both of his hands on my hips and brought me closer to him. The kiss was slow and gentle. We took our time, enjoying the feeling of having each other in our arms. We were lost in each other. The world completely disappeared around us and all the sounds of the outside world became muted. Nothing mattered more than the feeling of his lips against mine. We broke apart after quite some time. Small pieces of the world slowly returned as we came back to reality. The sound of the birds chirping returned and the cars continued to zoom down the street.

"If I knew that I would be rewarded like that every time I picked a flower from the ground, I would do it more often," Josh said with a cheeky grin on his face.

"Shut up, Josh," I said while rolling my eyes, "It's almost sunset, we need to get going." I took his hand in mine and I interlaced our fingers.

"Can I see the pictures you took?" he asked, pointing at my camera.

"Not yet, we have to wait until dinner remember?" Josh let out a groan when I said this.

"But I want to see them now," he whined.

"You're such a child," I giggled, "besides, you're the one who made up the rules."

"Which means that I can change them at any time," Josh insisted.
