"Your names Bayleigh right?" Dan asked. I nodded quickly, so quickly I was giving myself a headache. He started laughing so I'm guessing he found it funny. "I've seen your YouTube videos. Your BubblyBayleigh?" This time my nod was not as wild. None in the orphanage knew about my YouTube account or videos, I wanted to keep it that way. "I've found your videos interesting". I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you Mr Howell". We were always told to use our manners when speaking to a visitor. He found that funnier. "Just call me Dan" he chuckled, his hair flipping as he did. "Ok" I laughed. "Wanna come home with me?" He asked as if I had a choice to say no. "YES!" I screamed excitedly jumping up and down. He began laughing even more. I looked to Mrs Thomas hoping she's would agree. She gave me a bright warm hearted smile and nodded. "Go pack Bayleigh" she said warmly. I ran out of the door and started laughing in happiness, this couldn't be happening to me!
I ran into my room and dragged some carrier bags out from my wardrope. I don't have a suitcase because we have never gone travelling, the furthest I have been was the beach 1 hour away from here. I started shoving all my decent clothes into a carrier bag and all my belongings into another, my laptop, my teddy I brought with me here. I gapped my carrier bags and ran out of the at a light pace as I didn't wanna damage the laptop. Before I even got to the office I was greeted with a sea of other children who lived here with me, some longer some shorter bur they were still family, even though I had no real friends here. They all congratulated me, hugged me or patted me in the back. I gave them a warm smile and opened the door to the office, Dan and Mrs Thomas must have been talking but stopped abruptly as I walked in. Dan took the carriers and set them on the floor and out of my burgundy hoodie I pulled out the phone. I held it in the palm of my hand for Mrs Thomas but she curled my fingers around it and said " keep it, our numbers are on there if you need us." She gave a quick look at Dan "but I think you will be fine" she gave me another bright smile then opened her arms for a hug. I walked straight into them even though I've never been a hugging person. She gave me a tight embrace and then walked us through the crowd of kids, who I now realised were here for Dan and not me which put a damper on the situation, and to the door. After ushering us out the ocean of children flooded out. Dan showed me to the car, a white ford focus. He opened the door for me and I climbed in and sat awkwardly waiting. I stared out of the window to the crowd of waving kids of various ages. By this point I was daydreaming and had not realised Dan had got into the car and the sound of the engine brought me back. He looked at me through the mirror and smiled. I smiled back. "Ready for a new start?" I nodded happily. I'm sure I was ready.
