Our Day

Jamie and Katlin came early the next day. Katlin was a friend from my old high school. Old because I haven't been going to school since I started to live with Dan and Phil, so I technically have dropped out. They were thinking about sending me to Hollygrove High and as soon as I got in touch with Katlin and told her I would be attending a different school she immediately went to talk to a her foster parents negotiating her removal from Bridgeway to Hollygrove. And she got her own way. She was a typical girly girl and was spoilt rotten. You know the saying 'opposites attract'? That's what exactly happened between me and Katlin. The teacher made her sit next to me because I was 'bright and I coulf be a good influence on her'. She was my best friend since year 7 and we're currently half way through year 9. "Smelly" I winked to Jamie. "Stinky" he laughed back hugging me. "Will you two get together already!" Katlin rolled her eyes. I blushed and Jamie gave a nervous laugh. We all went and gathered in my room. Me and Katlin wanted  Jamie to watch pitch perfect 2.

"Oh Bayleigh! You haven't met Alice!" blurted out Katlin halfway through the movie. I lifted my head up off Jamies chest. Jamie was led on the bed and I was led next to him with my head in his chest and my casted leg over his non - casted legs. Katlin sat on the end of the bed with her legs in the air. "Who?" I asked confused, trying to listen closely to the tv. "She's a year 10 but she's really cool! She's 16 and she's really funny and she's super nice! Can she come over?". I wasn't totally comfortable with inviting a total stranger over but if she was known as a good person she must be. I nodded and continued to watch the tele.

The door bell rang I don't know how long later. Katlin lept up and ran put and to the door. She came back in seconds later after I heard the front door slam. Her face was red and there was this girl behind her. She was not at all what her name sounds like. You know those names who sound girly? Well she wasn't. She had baby blue short hair and bright blue eyes. She was wearing black skinny jeans with a grey belly top and black convers. She smiled and waved. Katlin dived back on the bed and Alice stood there awkwardly fiddling with her thumbs. "Alice" I called. She looked up and I patted the sheets, signing her to sit down. She shuffled over and sat on the edge. We explained to her what's happened in the movie and soon she was laughing along with us.

Someone knocked on my door and I got up and walked to it opening up. Dan was standing there with 3 pizzas smiling at me. "Order for princess and her friends". I laughed and he walked in. He placed them on the side and kissed my forehead and stoked my hair. He gave a me a bright warm smile. "Have fun. Jamie I've called your mum and your staying tonight, same to you Katlin". Dan had only met Katlin twice but he accepted her like family, same to Jamie. He looked puzzled at Alice. "I'll call don't worry" she smiled. Dan laughed and left closing the door behind him.

"What movie next" i giggled. The pizza box's were thrown over the floor, us thrown all over the bed. "WORLD WAR Z!" Alice pipped. "Jarassic world" Katlin laughed. "GRACE!" Jamie roared. I put grace on and I cuddled into Jamie, as friends.....

I got scared half hour in, shielding my eyes from the screen with James soft hands. I could hear him softly chuckle. I nuged him and looked up and he looked down. The next thing I knew was him moving slowly towards me and his soft lips coliding gently with mine. The girls never knew this. I smiled then watched the movie again. That's when I knew. I loved Jamie Kain Lancashire.
