"Yeeeeahhh you understand! Yeeeeahhh like none can! I know we don't look like much but none fucks it up like us!" I sing at the top of my lungs, my hand clutching onto my hair brush, prancing around on my bed looking like a idiot while Jamie sat cross legged on the floor looking up at me as if I was a phsyco. Of course I am, I'm Dan Howells daughter!

I regarded the whole 'I love you note' as a prank or joke so we haven't discussed it, yet I still had the feeling inside of me, I wanted to know so bad. I didn't want to know I needed to know. The thought of that note still gave me butterfly's and made me smile like a idiot. I looked down at him and our eyes locked. I dropped the brush and sat down. His beautiful blue eyes were staring at mine, seeing right into my soul. He smiled and stood up, reaching his hand out for mine. "I want to show you something" I took it willingly and he lead me out of the apartment.

We arrived out side of a house. "Where are we?" I asked curiously. "Well I may have said a white lie, its not something, its someone...." he was rubbing the back of his neck nervously "or some people..." his voice trailed off and lead to a awkward silence. I gave him a warm smile and he grinned back and took my hand and walked me towards the door, Before entering I took a deep breath and gulped down what was left of the moisture in my mouth.

When we were inside everything looked as if it belonged in a old persons home. "Jamie" a voice called out, it sound shrill. "Yes Grandma?" he called back. Oh god. He walked up upstairs. I stood there staring at my feet in silence.

Few minutes later, Jamie was helping her downstairs, there arms linked. Her skin was pale compared to Jamie who was fairly tanned. She looked up at me and signalled Jamie to walk closer to me. He did as he was told, her taking little steps too keep herself steady even though she had Jamie supporting her. When she was a few steps in front of me, she reached out for my hand. I took it. Suprisingly she pulled me into a strong hug. I gave a awkward laugh.

We spent the afternoon with his Nan till his mum got home with his little brother, Kyle. She cooked us dinner while me and Jamie played catch with Kyle in the garden and as the sun was setting into a hazy pink and pastel orange. MissLancashire called us in and we all sat around a old fashioned table. Just as I was about to dig in, his grandma began saying grace. I never knew Jamies family were Christian?! Thank god none noticed!

Dinner was amazing and they had made a cake just for my arrival., which according to Miss Lancashire was planned for a couple of days. I blushed and Jamie stuttered "M-mum!"

They were taking me home in a little over a hour so me and Jamie offered to put Kyle to bed.

After several stories and big hugs, he was sleeping snuggled into his quilt, wedged by the wall. We walked back out to the garden and sat down on the slightly damp grass. The sun had already set but it was not fully dark yet, I could still see Jamies figure. I began threading grass through the gap between my fingers. I was contemplating asking him, but the fear inside me was growling like a monster. We didn't like rejection even though that's what we faced for nearly the whole of my life.

"Bayleigh"
"Jamie"

I felt his hand touch mine and it sent a good shiver down my spine and gave me goosebumps.

He had moved closer to me but that was no concern to me. We both laid down and he put his arm around me and I snuggled into his chest.

I began playing with my hair, and we sat there for 20 minutes just doing this.

"Bayleigh..."
"Yes Jamie?" I replied my throat dry.
"I love you" he said, his voice almost a whisper, but it was calming and enough for me.
"I love you too" I smiler.
I heard him chuckle from behind me and I felt a soft kiss planted on my foot head.

His mum came out after another half hour and saw us asleep on the grass, our body's entwined and my head still resting on his chest. I ended up staying the night.

I woke up to the greeting of sun in my eyes. Thanks sun. I moved my head and saw Jamie behind me and I smiled. I got up and wrote a note:

I've gone home smelly!xx

Lots of love your Bayleigh

I wasn't really his Bayleigh but house know what I mean. I snuck out and did the short walk home, listening to the tweeting of birds and barks of early dog walkers and there companions.
