Chapter Three: A Killer and A New Home

*Fire's POV*

After running deep into the forest and not hearing (Y/N) call to me, I finally made it home. It maybe a little cabin in the woods, but it's better than nothing. I sigh as I look at my hands, the hands that almost kill my worst enemy. 'I'm a monster, how could (Y/N) consider a monster to be her friend... Faith was like her, she cared about me even if I had powers, but I feel ashamed that I let (Y/N) see me like that...' I shake my head and decided to lay down a bit. Laying in my bed I kept thinking of my past and present, thinking of my actions. Off in a distance I hear wolves howling to each other. Looking at the night sky the moon was out, clear as crystals as the stars shine brightly. 'They look so happy up there. I wish to be happy like them...' I thought as I fall asleep slowly without even knowing.

*Timeskip*

Morning came fast as the rays of Light hit my face. Looking away I sit up and stretch a little before starting my routine. The hunt was the first thing to do, catching rabbits, deer, raccoons, even squirrels I catch and make them into stew. Though apparently I wasn't having any luck. I became more noisy and clumsy as I try to hunt, scaring away all the prey. I sigh in frustration as a rabbit got away. 'What's going on with me? I'm to distracted to hunt, and I don't know why.' I huff as I kick a rock. Trying to calm down I start to think about (Y/N), with her hair flowing in the wind and smile bright as day, looking at me. I shake my head to get rid of the thought. 'What am I think! I can't think of her like that, God what's wrong with me.' I couldn't take it anymore and headed to the edge of the forest, where (Y/N)'s home is. Getting close I see that (Y/N) was busy with the sheep, but I saw something was off about her. She looked like she was in pain, tried, and could hardly stand. She falls to the ground as I rush to her. Holding on to (Y/N) I see that there was some bruises on her arms, cut marks. 'Who did this to her?' I thought as I lay her back down to check inside her home, only to see blood on the floor. Panicking I searched the house to find her mother's body cut into bits. Just beyond her body stood (F/N) himself, with an axe in hand he looked at me with crazied eyes. "Ah, Fire, you've come again. I'm surprised that you came." "What the hell did you do to (Y/N) and why did you kill her mother!" "I did it so that she wouldn't leave me, she wanted to leave me as the morning came and wanted take (Y/N) with her. After I had beaten (Y/N) last night for getting in the way, her mother became to protective after that. Since (Y/N) had chores to do, I had my chance to kill her mother." "This is the reason why I never liked you in the first place, you're completely insane. All you want is to kill, and here you are, killing your own family!" I growled at him as he tried to strike me with the axe.

"Yes that maybe, but I wanted the power to burn my enemies and you took it. You stopped me from having the power. If I had the chance I would've killed you long ago as you were born, but your damn parents got in the way, sacrificing their lives for yours." "W-What! But my family abandoned me because of my powers!" "Wrong boy, I killed them. They were my closes friends, but when I heard that every century a special child would be born with a power and would unlock their power at a certain age. When you were born your powers activated, and I became furious. I thought I was the one, until you came along." He said as he cut my arm. 'No, no this can't be. My family abandoned me... They hated me... or was what he said true? If he is... then I have the right to kill me. No matter what anyone says.' I growled at him as dark thoughts came into mind, the house starts to light up as it caught on fire. "I'll kill you. I'll make you pay, for killing my family, killing her mother and hurting (Y/N)." I said darkly as the house completely was in gulfed in flames. Her father started to scream in pain as I left him be, and picked (Y/N) up. "Don't worry (Y/N), you don't have to worry about your father again. You're safe with me." I whispered to her as she was still unconscious. Starting to the forest I look back to see the house fall apart and everything around it. 'I'm sorry for your house (Y/N), but I couldn't let him live. He killed your mother and my family, even hurt you.' I sigh looking down at her. Kissing her head I walk to my home, with my thoughts all over the place.

*Timeskip*
*(Y/N)'s POV*

I slowly start to wake from the pain on my arms. Looking around, I realize that this isn't my home. I quickly get up only to feel light headed as I fall to the ground. Hearing footsteps the door opens for me to see Fire. "(Y/N), you're a wake. How do you feel?" Fire said as he helped me sit on the bed. "Fire what happened? Where am I?" "A lot of things happened and we're at my home." "What do you mean by a lot?" "I'll tell you later... anyway for now you'll be staying here." Fire said nervously before getting up. "Do you want anything to eat? I have a couple of things I could make." "I guess..." "Alright then, I'll make something quick." He left after that. I sigh as I look our the window to see the sunset sky. 'How long was I out for?' I thought in confusion as I get up. My arms start to hurt again from where father used a dagger on me, where he left deep cuts along my arms. 'I'm guessing Fire bandaged me up. From the looks of it, he new what he was doing.' Fire came back after a few minutes with a bowls of soup. "Here, I hope you like rabbit. I added some spices to it so it'd have more flavor." "Thank you, you didn't have to do this." "It's fine, I wanted to. But after you're done you should get some more rest." Fire said kindly as I ate. We continued to chat about everything in our minds as it became soon became night. I soon fell asleep on Fire's shoulder as I tried to stay up. But before I fell into my dreams I felt a kiss on my head. "Good night (Y/N), sweet dreams." Fire said as he laid me down beside him and fell asleep. 'How sweet of him, good night Fire...' and then I was out.
