Twenty-Four| Flames

(Third POV)

Aaron woke in the dark room. No shadows were there, because there was no light. But he could see seven faces clearly. Laurance, Garroth, Vylad, Zane, Dante, Travis, and Lily all stared at him. "I guess another petal fell..." Murmured Lily.

(Aphmau's POV)

Another flaming arrow flew towards us. But this time it headed for Katelyn. The arrow hit Katelyn in the stomach and she fell to the floor. And soon she was like Aaron, gone. I just lost two friends in just a few moments. I couldn't help but crying. Another petal had fell, and this time it was Katelyns. Jeffory joined me. He cried like it was his daughter, Abby, that had died. Salenia hugged me and him. There used to be 24 of us here, with the opposites and ghosts. Now there were three. We gave Katelyn and Aaron proper burials and mourned, sitting in the grass.

Later that day we all went home. By the time we reached our homes the sun was going down. Well, Salenia lives in the garden, so she just went there. When I got in my house Kawaii~Chan was sitting in the living room. It had been a full day since I had been home. "Aphmau~Senpai!" Kawaii~Chan exclaimed when she saw me. "Kawaii~Chan was so worried about you! But....Where's Katelyn~Sama?" She added, her pink hair falling over her eye. "She.....She...." I didn't finish before I burst into tears. I ran to Kawaii~Chan and hugged her. "She's......She died....So did Aaron....And Travis..." I choked out, and more tears fell. Now I could feel Kawaii~Chans tears falling. I pulled away from her. "Kawaii~Chan?" I sniffled. "Y-Yeah Aphmau~Senpai?" She stammered. "I want to show you something....In the morning." I gave a weak smile. I had to be strong, for Kawaii~Chan. But for some reason, it was hard. Katelyn..Travis..Aaron..Garroth..Zane..Lily..Vylad..Laurance..Dante..I only had a few people left. Everyone was dying, and there was nothing I could do. Then I smelt smoke. "Kawaii~Chan, do you smell that?" My voice was hoarse from crying so much. "Fire!" I yelled. I saw fire behind Kawaii~Chan, to much to get rid of it. Kawaii~Chan pulled out her phone and called 911. Turning around, I noticed fire all around us. We couldn't escape. I covered my mouth and Kawaii~Chan did too as she spoke on the phone. Then she put her phone away. "Firemen are on their way," she croaked. Her high-pitched voice unusually low. We crouched down and kept our mouths covered. Eventually firemen arrived and got us out. We were taken to the hospital, Kawaii~Chan almost passed out in the house, so there's no doubt she dis when we were on our way. Kawaii~Chan was still unconscious when we reached the hospital and I noticed how shallow her breathing was as we were rolled away. I tried to focus on how the fire was started, but I couldn't. Then my vision went dark.
