Chapter 4

Skyler' s POV

I was grinning like mad. Hell I doubt anything can ruin my day. As I entered my class, Blake and Zachary spotted me and approached me. Seeing my face they both shared looks, Zachary scowled at Blake then sighed, defeated. "Alright."

He observed me for a second then demanded. "Ok. What happened?"

I blinked then raised my eyebrow. "Huh?"

"How eloquent," he drawled, "Now mind telling me why are you grinning like a nutcase."

I grinned wider, if possible, ignoring the twitch in his eye. "I have a date!"

He and Blake looked surprised then smiled at me. Blake patted my back. "Wow! Your fast. Good luck with your mate."

Zachary smirked. "She git you whipped."

I rolled my eyes trying to look annoyed but failed since I was smiling slightly. "Thanks, and I don't care. I can't wait for tomorrow!"

Blake chuckled, amused. "Was I like this when I found my mate?"

"Nope," Zachary answered as he smirked at him, "You were much worse with Lorraine."

I nodded, recalling when Blake found out Lorraine was his mate. He wouldn't shut up.

"HEY!" shouted Blake, scowled at us.

Zachary and I just laughed.

Blake was still scowling at us, until a gleam shown in his eyes, he then smirked vehemently.

I felt a shiver go through my spine and gulped, feeling dread. I saw Zachary tensed, looking at Blake warily with a little fear, I can't blame though Blake can be quite terrifying.

Blake then looked at me oh so innocently and spoke cheerfully and sweetly, too sweetly. "Brother dearest, since I know you'll be busy with the meeting and preparing for your date. I hope you don't mind me telling Mom about you finding your mate."

I immediately paled. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mom and she's the nicest and best Mom one could have, but she can be very...embarrassing as hell. Last time she learned about Blake finding his mate, she went ballistic, oh how she fawned (cough*pestered*cough) them everyday. Pestering the two to hurry up and get married, asking almost everything about their relationship. I know she meant no harm, but it was bloody embarrassing for those two, I really pitied them. And now Mom knowing about me finding my mate, I shudder to think how she'll react.

I stared at him in horror. "H..Hey, you d-don't ha-have to," I stammered then looked at Zachary pleadingly. He looked at me appetizingly and full of pity as he stepped back a little.

Traitor! I mentally yelled as I looked at him, with a look of betrayal. I immediately broke my thoughts when I heard my brother's sadistically gleeful voice. "Oh, but why? Don't you want to let Mom know you found your mate? She'll be estastic."

I shivered when I saw how he seems to enjoy seeing me in pain. Sadist! What did I do in my past life to deserved this punishment? "Please! Don't...I'm sorry!" I apologized frantically and grimaced when I saw him tilt his head and adopted a puppy dog eyes look, making him the picture of innocence. Oh how it deceivers people with that look, making him look innocent and naive. They were damned fooled!

"What was that, big brother?" he asked innocently, blinking his eyes for effects.

I grimaced. "Please Blake don't say anything. It's too early. I'm begging you!"

He looked at me thoughtfully and felt hope inside me. He then looked at me solemnly and nodded. "Alright, I won't say anything to Mom."

I smiled and let my shoulders slumped relieved, I also noticed Zachary relaxing. "Thanks Blake!"

He shrugged and laughed. "No prob, it was sooo funny how scared you looked, like you had a constipation!"

I glared at him while Zachary chuckled, when I heard him I immediately glared at him. "And you! My supposedly best friend, why didn't you help me? Traitor!"

He held up his hands up, looking ashamed. "Sorry bout that, but even though I'm your best friend I have a healthy does of self-preservation. You know how Blake can be, so better you than me dude."

I scowled and drawled. "How loyal friend I have. I'll remember your sacrifice dearly, for if it happens to you I'll do the same thing."

He shivered and grimaced about that, he was about to say something when the bell rang. Blake who was watching before announced. "Bye guys. I have to go to my class," as he was about to close the door, he looked at me and smirked, "I promised I won't say anything to Mom, but I didn't say anything about telling it to the pack. Ciao!" He mocked saluted then left, leaving me gawking at the door, shocked.

"Bloody hell," I muttered, "I'm so dead."

Zachary still looking at the door commented. "Sometimes I do wonder why he isn't the alpha with that...interesting personality of his."

"Ah. But I hope that never happens or else we and the pack will suffer...or be insane."

He grimaced and shivered, seeing the truth in my words. "Your brother is really a piece of work...I really pity his mate."

"Poor Lorraine, imagine dealing with him like that for the rest of your life."

We both paled slightly, imaging it. Yup, poor Lorraine. May God Bless her sanity. We then went to our seats since the teacher just entered.

I just sat there, dreading if Blake will really tell the pack, and Mom will surely know. But knowing him, he'll keep his word. Crap! Crap! Crap! Why do I have to have a two faced sadist of a brother. I never bothered to listen to the teacher, to deep in thought.

It went like that until then school was finished. Seeing that Blake was still busy and will finish much later, Zachary and I went home first with my car. When we reached my house, I walked to the door, feeling nervous and dread. I stopped in front of the door, calming myself.

Zachary looked at me worriedly. "Skyler, I'm here for you bro. Good Luck."

I nodded my head in thanks, then held the door knob tightly and took a deep breath, steeling my nerves as I opened the door.

"Dad! Mom! I'm home!" I announced as I entered the home, Zachary in tow.
