Chapter 10

Felicia’s POV

“Your house?” I asked.

“Yup! Let’s have a sleepover.”

“Uh…when?”

“Tomorrow night.”

“Uh…” Seeing my reluctant face, Lorie begged me with large puppy dog eyes. I tried to resists at those pitiful eyes. I glanced quickly but regretted it immediately. My resolve crumbled at the sight. I sighed in defeat. “Alright.”

Lorie grinned and punched the air victoriously. “BOYAH!”  I jumped surprised at the sudden noise. I have to get used to her reactions.

“Yay! Fel bring your extra clothes ha. Don’t worry about snacks, I’ve got it covered. Bye bye.” Lorie informed before she skipped off. Silence engulfed the place as I stared at where she skipped off. Weird, I shook my head then went home. Guess I have to tell Luke.

“A sleepover?” Luke asked as he set the plates.

“At Lorraine’s house.” I added as I set the food.

He hummed. “You can go.”  I stared at him, surprised. He raised his brow. “What?”

I shook my head. “Nothing. I just thought you wouldn’t agree.”

He shrugged. “It would help you to become more sociable and act your age.” Oh. And here I thought he wouldn’t agree.

“And hopefully it will make you more feminine.” My brother continued. I glared at him. I am feminine! Damn it. Instead of replying I stared eating. It wouldn’t do good to argue with him since I always loose.

“You ready?” Lily asked, smiling to which I nodded.

“Come on, let’s go my house.” Lorie said before running off. Me and Lily ran catching up to her.

“Why are we even running?” I questioned, not that I minded the exercise.

“It’s quicker and FUN!” Came the enthusiastic reply. I glanced at Lily who gave me a sympathetic smile. We stopped in front of a house which was fairly large. Lily turned around, bowing dramatically. “Welcome to my humble abode.” She then led us inside after announcing our presence. She motioned for us to go to her room while she gets our snacks.

When I stepped inside the room, my mouth dropped as my eyes widened at the sight. “Fuc-Fudge!” Thankfully I was able to avoid cursing.

“That was also my reaction when I first saw the room.” Lily said.

I ignored her as my eyes wondered everywhere. The room was painted in bright, eye watering orange, the bed sheets were neon yellow and the carpet was stomach gagging pink! My eyes were watering at the offending colors. I closed my eyes at the…monstrosity. I mumbled. “My eyes…my poor virgin eyes...”

Lily scoffed, she must have heard that. Forcing my eyes to open, I saw the telly which was thankfully normal, and the stacks of games and dvds next to it. Well at least it’s organize. The room was atrocious, even a blind dog can choose better colors.

“Snacks everyone?” The question broke my thoughts. Lorie was standing at the door carrying a tray with glasses of iced tea and a plate full of cookies. I reached one of the glasses and drank the content before plopping down on the floor. That was refreshing!

“Fel, are you alright?” I heard Lorie’s voice.

“Just letting my mind reboot, don’t mind me.” I deadpanned. I can’t help it.
