Ch 21

The ringing of Micky's phone was what woke them up. Micky instantly reached to answer without even looking at the number

"Hello?" She answered

"He's out of surgery" Stiles said directly. Micky let out a relieved sigh

"Why didn't you call me?" She asked running her hand through her hair

"I was... it's just... ugh, a lot happened last night, alright?" He said almost snapping

"I figured, no one answered their phone. Not even Liam" she said

"People died last night, Mik. Hayden, uh, Liam's girlfriend, she was a failed chimera and died. Theo betrayed us and made Liam attack Scott, he almost died. Malia was... I don't even know. Kira ran away some days ago. And dad... Theo made someone attack dad so I couldn't help Scott" Stiles explained "He also did somehing to Lydia, she's paralyzed, he tried to dig his claws on her neck to access her mind but he did it wrong"

"Stiles... the pack... the pack is not together, Scott is weak. Theo... he did it"

"Listen, don't worry about it. You don't get involved in this. That's why I didn't want to call you. I only did because Melissa said you deserved to know about dad" Stiles said

"I'm also part of the pack, Stiles"

"You were. You left, remember?" Stiles said and it hurt Micky, she swallowed the tears though

"We're still family" she said softly "and they're my friends" she added with a stronger voice "You guys have to bring the pack together"

"*scoff* that's not gonna happen"

"Then make it happen" Micky said almost scolding her brother "You can't beat the dread doctors alone"

"I don't care about that, alright! Right now I only care about dad" he said "He is not getting better and we don't know why" Micky's worry increased, she gluped

"Poison maybe?" She suggested

"Not in the bloodstream" he said

"Magic?"

"He was attacked, not cursed"

"Well, who attacked him?"

"... Theo"

"You have to interrogate him"

"I will. I have to go"

"Keep me updated"

They both hung up. Micky looked around her to notice she had fallen asleep in the couch and Bucky was sitting next to her

"I'm sorry for keeping you here" she apologized

"It's fine" Bucky said "How's your dad?" Micky looked down

"He'll be fine" she said "He's still not getting better but they'll figure it out. I know they will. They always figure this out" she then looked up at him "Thank you for staying here with me. It really means a lot" she smiled softly at him

"You're welcome" he said

"I'll make breakfast" she said and stood up. Bucky stood up too

"I can do it. You should take it slow"

"It's fine, I kind of need a distraction"

"Just go get dressed or something, really. I insist" Bucky said. Micky looked at him before giving up

"Alright" she said "Thank you" Bucky only nodded "Don't burn the kitchen" Bucky couldn't help but chuckle

"I'll try" he said. Micky went to her room and Bucky went to the kitchen
