Micky woke up the next day and got ready for the day. They had done all the investigations possible, Lydia was almost finished with the book. They had their friends send them their homeworks and the school accepted that they could mail their homeworks to their teachers. Micky had it a little different in college, professors didn't care if you went or not to class, homeworks were barely asked, she only had to keep up with the notes and she already had some friends of her send them to her. She thought about going back to her board and stare at it until she had an idea or a clue but decided against it, stressing over something and thinking too hard never helps her, she had to be distracted and the ideas will suddenly come to mind
"JARVIS, is there some kind of gym or something here?" She asked
"The gym is on the 5th floor" JARVIS answered
"Is there someone there?" She asked
"Not at the moment" JARVIS said
"Thanks"
"Anytime, Miss Stilinski"
Micky slipped to the elevator and went to the gym. It was huge, there was a kind of arena in the middle, some machines at the sides and separate rooms, one of the separate rooms was a shooting range and the other was some kind of simulator. There was a wall with different kinds of weapons, from guns to knives. Boxing gloves and helmets of different sizes and colors were also there
"JARVIS, can you like... play music or something in the room?" Micky asked
"Of course, what kind of music would you like?" JARVIS asked. Micky smirked
"Turn Down for What, by DJ Snake" she decided "After that 'Selfie' by the Chainsmokers. And just techno really"
"Very well" JARVIS answered
Micky smirked when the music started and she went to the treadmill. She jogged in one of the 5 treadmills, she kept glancing at the guns and other weapons, she thought of what would happen if Clarisse or Zagan came after her, maybe a gun would be useful. She stopped the treadmill and went to the weapons wall choosing a simple black gun, she grabbed a lot of bullets and then went to the shooting range room. She pressed a button to activate it. She put on glasses and earbuds to protect her. She aimed the gun and kept the stance she remembered her dad teaching her. She pulled the trigger and her body shook slightly with the recoil of the gun, she rolled her shoulders and eased her hands a little before getting tense again, she shot again, and again, and again. She ended her ammo and was panting after that. She pushed a button to bring the target closer, all he bullets were in the target zone
"You're good at that" Micky jumped slightly and turned to see Natasha in the doorway with her arms crossed
"Thanks. My dad taught me" Micky said. Natasha gave her a small smile
"You have to clean the gun" Natasha said
"I know" Micky said and walked and took off the target crumbling the paper and throwing it in the closer trashcan, she took off her earbuds and glasses and took the piston to the small table next to the weapons wall, she easily pulled apart the gun and started cleaning it. Natasha watched her closely from a safe distance
"Did your dad also taught you that?" She asked
"Yeah, I had to practice every weekend for six months only for him to let me move to New York for college" Micky explained
"And your mom approved?" Natasha asked. Micky stopped cleaning for a second but slowly started again
"I don't know, she died when I was 10" Micky said. Natasha wasn't expecting that answer
