Ch 28

Bucky was by the door's frame of the animal clinic as Micky helped Dr. Lucy Holland, the animals shelter's owner and vet, attend the dog

"Well, he was lucky that you saved him" Lucy said "he has a lot of injuries, some of them infected, not to mention his broken leg. And he's also anemic. Some serum will take care of that"

"I'll bring the syringe" Micky said and went to pull up her hair in a pony tail and put on latex gloves and a surgical mask

Bucky watched as she took the syringe and a cotton with water peroxide. Mickeyla put water peroxide on the skin of the dog and pulled at his skin before putting the syringe in the dog. The vet brought a tube attached to a bag of serum and attached it to the syringe. The dog started sleeping and the vet made sure he was asleep by lightly pinching the soles of his paws, when he didn't react, she started tending on the dog's injuries. After 15 minutes, the dog was ready to go

"He'll wake up soon" Lucy said "He just needs rest"

"I'll be here when he wakes up. I will take care of the others too" Micky said

"You know, sometimes I wonder why you didn't become a vet" Lucy said and then left. Micky smiled and started cleaning up. She looked up at Bucky

"You can go back to the apartment of you want. You can take the car" she said

"Nah. I rather help you here. I think I used to like dogs when I was a kid" Bucky said and Micky smiled

Micky and Bucky gave food and clean water to all the animals before they returned to check on the dog they saved. Bucky crounched to him when he started waking up. The dog seemed to smile when he saw Bucky, his tail wiggling

"Hey, buddy" Bucky called with a smile before petting him "I got food and water for you" he said before putting the bowls in front of him. The dog drank and ate some before licking Bucky's hand as a thanks. Bucky scratched the back of his ears

"He seems to like you" Micky said standing some feet behind Bucky. Bucky smiled

"I guess he does" Bucky said. He looked at the dog's face "He looks better than when we found him. He's lucky you saved him"

"We saved him" Micky corrected "those punks wouldn't have left him alone if you hadn't intimidated them" Bucky chuckled

"Right" he agreed

"We make a great team" Micky said

Bucky smirked and stood up. He walked towards Micky putting his hands on her waist, Micky put her hands on his shoulders and they both leaned in for a sweet kiss. Micky's hands gripped Bucky's hair, unintentionally turning him on. Bucky's grip tightened in her waist and traveled to the small of her back pulling her closer, he then left Micky's lips and started kissing her jaw and then her neck. Micky let out a content sigh arching her neck to give him more space

They pulled apart when a dog barked at them. He was glaring at them and Micky and Bucky couldn't help but laugh. They left the animal shelter around 5 to go to their apartment, they both had big smiled on their faces and were too distracted to see the man watching them from an alley across the street. He took some pictures of them holding hands and smiling. When they left, he dialed a number

"Boss? I think I found him"

Micky was putting away the dry dishes back on the kitchen shelves and drawers when Bucky came to the kitchen. He wanted to finish what they had started in the animal shelter, so he stood behind her and put his hands on her waist kissing her jaw softly. Micky smirked

"Buck, what are you doing?" Micky asked before closing her eyes and enjoying Bucky's kisses

"Letting my heart lead" he said against her skin

Micky leaned against Bucky a little before fully turning towards him and kissing him in the lips. Bucky's tounge grazed Micky's lips asking for entrance but Micky smirked teasing him. Bucky groaned against her lips before letting his hands trail down to Micky's butt and squeezing. Micky gasped in surprise and Bucky took the chance to explore her mouth with his tounge. Micky wasn't staying behind and soon fought for dominance. The heated kiss left them breathless. When they pulled apart, Micky pulled Bucky out of the kitchen and into her room. They kissed again and Bucky started pushing Micky towards the bed. Micky laid of her back and Bucky hovered over her. Micky the switched them and was stradling Bucky, they never broke the kiss. Bucky turned them again and started kissing down her neck again. It wasn't until Micky felt Bucky's boner that she started to panic

"Buck" she called "Bucky, wait" she said. Bucky stopped kissing her and pulled away to see her face "I-it's not than I'm a prude or something, and trust me, I'm so turned on right now, but" she bit her lower lips "I-I've... never done it before. A-and I'm a little scared of doing something wrong or that you won't enjoy it. I'm sorry. I know it's stupid"

"Hey, it's not stupid" Bucky stopped her ramble "I understand. We don't have to do it right now. Back in the 40's, couples usually waited until marriage. It's fine" Micky let out a sigh of relief

"I'm sorry" she said again

"Don't apologize" Bucky said and kissed her cheek before standing up. Micky sat up

"Could you... maybe... sleep with me tonight?" She asked shyly avoiding eye contact. Bucky smiled

"Of course. I'll just put on more comfy clothes"

Micky smiled and Bucky left. She decided to do the same and put in a pijama that consisted on a tank top and some boxer shorts. Bucky came back in a grey T-shirt and boxers. They both got into bed and cuddled together

"Goodnight, Buck" Micky said

"Goodnight, Mik" he said. Micky closed her eyes and Bucky played with her hair making her relax and sleep faster. Once he was sure Micky was asleep, Bucky kissed her forehead "I love you" what he didn't know, is that Micky had heard him
