From now on Adeline's POV will be from 2 years before the present which is Steve's POV until she is caught up in the storyline as the story progresses along.

Adeline's POV

The security watched as I swiped my card to get into the entrance of The Hub. Luckily he was looking at my face instead of my hand as I hacked into the entrance system and changed my card serial number to another agents so no one would know I was here. I was also wearing one of the new face changing mask that Shield had designed so agents could go undercover more easily with a different face. So if anyone were to look for me they wouldn't see Adeline Taylor they'd see Agent Abigail Quinten which was a fake personnel I made up in the Shield system.

I smiled at the guard as the door slid open and I entered The Hub everyone ran around quickly doing their daily jobs and I walked through all of them and if I made eye contact they would nod and go on their way without a second thought.

I headed towards the level 10 section to find the hard copy files for myself and Werner Reinhardnt and Arnim Zola. Since the level 10 section was only assigned to certain agents I stayed back watching for anyone walking towards the doors to swipe their card. I watched as a man made his way towards the glass doors and I followed behind him quickly weaving my way through the crowd. He was only a few feet ahead of me when he stopped abruptly and I bumped into him making him drop a few items, "Oh, I'm sorry," I apologized helping him pick them up.

"It's quite alright. I shouldn't have stopped so quickly," he answered before looking at my face, "I don't think I've seen you around here."

We both got up off the floor and started heading towards the level 10 section, "I was just reassigned to The Hub," I nodded smiling just before he swiped his ID going through the doors and holding them as I faked swiped my card.

"Maybe, I'll see you around," he grinned before we both went our opposite ways.

I hurried down the hallway before finding the right wing for the hardcopy files. Finally I found the room filled with filing cabinets and searched through the years. I found 1980-1990 and went through it alphabetically but couldn't find anything under Daniel Whitewall. My file had signed my documents in Austria. I then went to the 1940's-1950's section looking up Dr. Zola and found three files under his name I grabbed them and slipped a few into my bag while opening the first one.

Name: Dr. Arnim Zola
Age: Early 40's
Date of Birth: Unknown
Status: Deceased
Description: Hydra Scientist
Doctor Arnim Zola was a Swiss scientist working for Hydra before, during, and after World War II. Dr. Zola was offered a position in Shield after the war.

It went on more but I didn't want to read anymore before I had to get out of there. I left the room quickly as I came in and back into the Central Hub trying to think of other utilities I might need. But I didn't want to be lugging around equipment so I left before anyone noticed anything was gone. I got in an elevator hitting the button to go to the first floor.

"Can you hold that?!" Someone shouted and I pushed the door close button desperately but a hand stopped them from closing and a girl got in with her arms filled with files and she nodded at me as a few papers fell.

I reached down and picked them up handing them to her, "Here."

"Oh thank you very much," she said with an english accent.

"No problem," I nodded as it went silent again except for the elevator that dinged every time we passed a floor.

"Uh I'm Jemma Simmons," she introduced herself.

"Abigail Quinten," I said smiling at her briefly.

"So what brings you to the all fantastic and wonderful Hub?" Jemma asked trying to keep a conversation going.

"An assignment," I lied.

"Oh that's exciting, what for?" She asked.

"Uh it's classified," I answered.

"Well it was nice meeting you," she grinned as we got to the bottom floor and I nodded before rushing past her and out the door of The Hub.
