The First Year

2| Special wand

They all turned to see Ron, Hermione and their kids Rose and Hugo.

Ron was giving them his signature 20 watt smile and Hermione looked slightly hassled. "Hello Ron, 'mione" Harry said while the children all began talking. James, Albus and Rose were noisily discussing the new hogwarts textbooks despite being in different years. 

Rose seemed to have inherited her mother's bossiness and her father's humor. Lily went to her cousin Hugo who was rather shy to strangers but otherwise talkative, and they began talking about how exiting it was to finally go to hogwarts as Hugo, just like Lily was starting hogwarts that year. They had reached the entrance to Diagon Alley. 

"Where to?"said Ron. "Well those two need wands and all the other basic stuff,so me and Ginny can go with them. All of you can do the others'stuff" Hermione said, "but first, Gringotts" They went towards the big marble building and entered the large hall. 

After a few words and keys passed between the goblins and adults they were in the carts and moving at top speed. After collecting their money they returned to the surface and left the bank feeling slightly dizzy and sick. 

Hermione, Ginny, Lily and Hugo went to Olliviander's. The old wandmaker came into the main room which was mostly made of wandboxes. He found a wand fairly quickly for Hugo, but Lily's took along time.

 "This", "No, This", "Try this" and such were said by the old man, by then Lily was feeling quite sick, 'why wasn't there a wand for her' she thought anxiously. "Hmm..... maybe this,very unusual though" Olliviander muttered and brought out the wand from the display. 

He gave it to Lily and she felt connected to it unlike the other wands. 

"Oh my" Olliviander said and then bent down and whispered softly but in all seriousness to Lily "I remember every wand I've ever sold, do you know that Lily? Your father's was exceptional and destined for greatness, holly and pheonix feather, but......" he trailed off and looked at the wand in Lily's hand. "Your wand is...... no, was great in the hands of it's previous owner. You're wand was an exceptional wand made for only someone special."

 And then he stood up and smiled brightly causing Lily to think he was probably the most bipolar person she ever met. He said; "14 galleons" and Hermione paid. 

Lily, all this time had remained speechless and staring at her wand. Ginny looked at her with a worried look. "What's wrong sweetie?" Ginny asked her and Lily shook her head but Ginny knew that Lily would only tell her in her own time, so like herself as a child. 

Next they went to get their robes  and other things. At around 4 all of them met up in their uncle'sstore 'Weasley's wizarding wheezes' "Heeellooo" their uncle George said to them and his wife Angelina smiled and poked George jokingly. 

They got a tour of the place and Lily bought a lot of fun joke items to use in school. "Oh mom! Can I get an owl?" she asked."Yeah" her mom said and they left the store with the others. 

"Ok, Floran Fortsue's for ice cream?" Ginny suggested and everyone agreed so they found themselves eating ice cream and chatting with Florean Fortsue. Then they went to Eelope's owl eporium and Lily chose a barn owl and named her Luistania in memory of something, she claimed to forget. It was a nice name so the name stuck.

 As soon as Lily and her family got home all of them tumbled into their beds.

Ok, a little bit of drama in this chapter. Sorry 'bout that.

I am going to update roughly every week but i might not on some weeks because i have exams coming.
