7| Letters

A few days later, at breakfast Lily gasped, got up from the Gryffindor table and ran to the library. 

"What is Lily doing running to the library at this hour?" Alice said sleepily to Ellie who seemed almost a world away. 

"I hope we don't have homework though. That would seriously suck." She added as an afterthought. Lily almost ran into Roxanne, her cousin. 

"Hey Roxie, sorry, I forgot to owl mom and dad!" "Oops, I forgot to owl my parents once and mo went ballistic. Really hope you don't get a howler." She said with a laugh and Lily nodded and began to run to the library.

Hey mom, dad,

how's life going on at home? Do you miss me? Really sorry I couldn't owl. I'm having so much fun at hogwarts!! I met Professor Longbottom's daughter Alice and she's really funny. I also met a girl called Eleanor (a.k.a. Ellie) who likes to do random hobby activities. She is currently in her 'knitting phase' and she's going on about how amazing it is and how I should try it. Grandma would be so pleased.

I met Lorcan and Lysander on the train too. They're Aunt Luna's kids. Lorcan isn't like her from what I heard about her, but Ly is. I really am wondering what type of people I am befriending. James is being an idiot as always and is (once again) trying to prank scorpius. I don't understand what he has against the poor boy. I haven't seen Al all week! I've been that busy! Say hi to ted from me will you?

She ran along to post it from the owlery. Lucy flew from somewhere above and landed on Lily's shoulder. 

"hey Lusy send this to mom and dad will you?" she said tying the letter to one of her feet. She flew off into the lightening sky, and Lily remembered she had lessons.

Two days later Lily got a letter and a parcel in the morning. "Finally I thought I was gonna get a howler," Lily said with a dramatic sigh. She opened the letter.

Dear Lily-flower,

Don't worry about it, my first few dys were so full mom almost sent me a howler. It's great that you are making good friends, but you really shouldn't question yourself about them. They seem amazing. We're so proud that you are in Gryffindor but we would be proud if you were anywhere else as well!! James really should stop pranking scorpius. He's Al's friend too!!! Maybe I'll send him a howler one of these days. Teddy told me to send you this by the way. Much like a welcome to Hogwarts gift.

Hey Lils,

I heard your mom's going to send James a howler. Do warn him will you? Things are going well at home and it's oh so quiet without three sillies running around all the time. Have you had flying lessons yet? Try and get on the quiddich team! (Don't you dare! It's not allowed!!-Mum) Have fun, do well at school or Hermione will have my guts for garters!

Lily had to laugh at how the letters portrayed her parents so well. 

"Well let's see what you got. Alice said and reached for the letter. 

"Gasp! It's from your mother! Well let's see.... 'Dear Lily...'" Lily snatched the letter away. She opened the parcel and read the note on the cover.

Hey Lily

heard you were having fun at hogwarts. I did!! thought I should get you this because it's a universal medicine for anything. I think.

The contents of the parcel were of course, chocolate. Nothing could keep Teddy from chocolate. He. Had. To. Have. It. Every. Single. Day. "Who have what?" Ellie asked. "Sorry um Teddy and chocolate." They concluded breakfast with Tedocolates as Lorcan decided to call it and headed to class.

I had my achievment test to do these few days so I literally went to hell and back but I can update now!!!!
