Jordyn’s POV
It was around 2 am and I was having a crazy nightmare. I jumped up breathing really heavy. Chres sat up yawning beside me. “You ok?” he asked. I sighed. “I don’t know.” I said softly. He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me tightly. I exhaled calmly and closed my eyes. He kissed the top of my head and laid us back down. I didn’t have that night mare any more that night. The next morning around 10 am I woke up and me and Melissa were the only two laying on the mattress. I sat up and tapped her leg. She sat up too. “Where’s the guys?” I asked. “Probably cooking.” She said. “They cook?” I asked. She giggled. “Yea. They can cook.” She said and stood up. I stood up with her. “hey where’s the bathrooms?” I asked. “oh I gotchuu.” She said and grabbed my bag. I followed her up the stairs and into a room. “This is Chres’s room.” She said. I looked around and saw a shelf with snap backs, pictures of him and I guess his mom. His walls were blue and black. He had a big black bed in the middle of the room. I sat my bag down on it and then walked over to the dresser. His room was pretty neat for a teenage boy. He had some chains on it and pictures of him and the guys. I smiled at it and then grabbed my bag and walked into the bathroom. It was pretty cool. I stripped down and got in the shower. When I was done I got out and did my hygiene. Then I dried off and got dressed. Chres was sitting on the bed on his phone. “Well hey beautiful.” He said without looking up. I smiled. “Hey Chres.” I said. he got up and came over to me and kissed my forehead. “We’re going out today.” He said taking my hand and spinning me around. I smiled. “Where?” I asked. “That’s a surprise.” He said and pecked my lips softly. I smiled and went and sat on his bed while he went in the bathroom. He came out about 45 minutes later looking all fly. He smiled at me and then walked over to his dresser and put on the chain. “Who gave you the chain?” I asked as he looked at it in the mirror. “my mom did.” He said and turned to me. “who gave you that necklace and that ring that you never take off.” He said. I smiled and looked down at the necklace. “My mom gave me the necklace before she died and Daniel gave me the ring for 8th grade graduation.” I said smiling. He smiled back. “you really miss her don’t you?” he asked. I looked at him and then grabbed the necklace. “yea. I really do.” I said softly as I looked at it in my hand. He came over and hugged me tightly. “Come on Prod and I made breakfast.” He said and stood up. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down the stairs. I laughed as he spun me around. “Well isn’t that cute?” Melissa said as she walked out the kitchen. We laughed and walked in. Prod was already sitting down with a plate full of bacon and waffles. I laughed. “Fatty aren’t we.” I said nudged him. “hey I ain’t fat and Melissa knows that.” He said winking at her. “Oh trust me I do.” She said back. “Ok I ain’t wanna know all that.” I said and went to fix me a plate. We all ate and talked and then Melissa and I had to head back to her house. Prod drove us. When we got there he got out and walked with us to the door. We walked in. “Hey mama!!! We’re here!!” Melissa screamed. Her mom laughed walking out of the kitchen. “Why you so loud baby?” she said and kissed her cheek. “You must be the amazing Jordyn.” She said to me. I nodded smiling. “Well welcome home!” she said and hugged me. I hugged her back feeling completely welcomed. When she pulled away she smiled. “Oh hey Craig. How are you?” she said hugging him. “I’m good Ms. Johnson.” He said. “Well I see you’re taking care of my baby girl.” she said. “Of course.” He said flashing a smile. She giggled. “Thank you for bringing them back over here.” She said. “Oh no problem.” He said. He went over and hugged Melissa and kissed her cheek and then hugged me and pinched my arm. We laughed as he left. “So Melissa would you like to go show Jordyn her new room.” Her mom said smirking. Melissa smirked and nodded. “Come on Jordyn!” she said grabbing my arm and yanking me up the stairs. I laughed at her as we came to a stop. “Ok me and Daniel put this together for you. Welcome to Casa de la Jordyn!” she said and opened the door. I walked in and it looked like my room from our old house back in Atlanta. I smiled and ran in. all of my stuff was all set up and everything was perfect. I ran over to her and hugged her spinning her around. “OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE IT!!!” I squealed. She laughed. “No problem. Daniel told me how much you missed your old room so we decided to try and remake it.” She said. “Well it’s perfect.” I said. then I heard another door across the hall open. “Dang why is y’all out here screaming?” a sexy light skinned guy said coming out of the room shirtless. He was really sexy and he had tattoos everywhere. “Shut up Chris. Jordyn this is my older brother Chris.” She said. he walked over to us and pushed Melissa out the way. Then he came up to me and bit his lip. “And you are?” he said slowly. Is he flirting with me. “I’m Jordyn.” I said and smiled. He looked me up and down and bit his lip again. “Well Jordyn I’m Chris.” He said and grabbed my hand kissing it. I blushed and looked down. He chuckled. “Umm back off Chris.” Melissa said pushing him. I giggled. “Shut up big head.” He said pushing her. “Bye sexy, I mean Jordyn.” He said. I blushed. “Oh lord. Sorry about him he thinks he’s a ladies man.” Melissa said. I giggled. “he’s pretty smooth.” I said. “Eww.” She said. I laughed. “So I heard that you have a date with Chres.” She said. “Yea.” I said smiling. “Aww well go tell him you’re ready girl.” she said pushing me into my new room. I laughed and pulled out my phone. I went to the contact listed as My Hero and pressed call. It rang once and Chres’s voice rang through my ears. “Hey baby.” He said. I smiled. “Hey I’m ready for our date.” I said. “Aight baby I’ll be over in a minute.” He said. “Ok.” I said before hanging up. I got up and looked in the mirror to make sure I looked ok and then I walked out of my room. I closed my door and turned around and Chris was standing there. “Umm hi.” I said nervously. He put one arm up by my head and tilted my chin up with the other. “Why you nervous ma?” he said. “I’m not.” I said trying to play it off. He chuckled and leaned in closer. “Chris what are you doing?” I said. “Just a little teasing.” He said. “Well I have a boyfriend so—“ “I don’t care.” He said cutting me off. “Chris move.” I said. he chuckled and backed up. I turned to walk down the stairs and he smacked my ass. I turned around and he was smirking. I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs. As soon as I got to the bottom step the doorbell rung. Ms. Johnson came out of the kitchen and went to the door. She opened it and Chres was standing there. I smiled. “That’s ya man?” Chris said. I jumped and turned around and he was standing behind me. I rolled my eyes. “yupp.” I said popping the P. I turned back to the doorway to see Ms. Johnson talking to Chres. Then I felt Chris’s hand on my ass and I turned around and pushed him back. He chuckled and went back up the stairs. I turned and went down the last step and walked over to them. “Well you take care of my other baby girl.” Ms. Johnson said. I smiled and hugged her. She rubbed my back and then we pulled away. I turned to Chres and he took my hand in his and we walked out the door to his car. He opened my door and pecked my lips. I smiled and got in. he went around and got in too. “hey who’s car?” I asked. “Ray’s.” he said and pulled off. “so you ready?” he asked. “Well are you gonna tell me where we’re going?” I said. he chuckled. “then it wouldn’t be a surprise.” He said. I smiled and shook my head. I looked out the window almost the whole ride. I was thinking about the whole incident with my dad and Chres and the crew saving me and Melissa taking me in. I feel like everything was meant to happen. “What you thinking about beautiful?” Chres said taking my hand in his. I smiled at him. “Everything.” I said and sighed. “Well do you wanna talk about it?” he asked as we pulled into this parking lot. “No it’s fine. Let’s just enjoy this date.” I said. he smiled and got out and came and opened my door. I got out and he grabbed my hand. We started walking and about 5 minutes after walking there was a giant sign that had pictures of go carts, mini golf, and I guess puppets. I looked at Chres who had a big kool-aid smile on his face. I laughed and hugged his torso. He threw his arm around my shoulder and we walked in and to a ticket booth. He paid for our tickets and we walked to the go carts. “You ready to get beat?” he said. I laughed. “little do you know baby.” I said as we got buckled into our go carts. He chuckled. When the light turned green we both sped off. He beat me in the first two laps and on the last lap I stepped on it and sped right past him to the finish line. He pulled up beside me and looked shocked. “I told you. Don’t underestimate me.” I said and winked at him. I got out of my go cart and started walking.
