Chapter 15 - Thanksgiving Day

Ze's P.O.V.

I woke up in a daze. The events of last night were in my mind. I was hoping it was a dream, but I knew that it wasn't. While I was sitting there thinking about what me and Ritz might have to talk about, I remembered that today was Thanksgiving Day. As if today wasn't going to be bad enough. I got up and entered the kitchen. I was hoping that Ritz would be in there but he wasn't. I went to his door and knocked on it. There was no answer so I opened the door and he wasn't in his room. I guess he didn't want to have to deal with it today so he left earlier. I decided to focus on a more important thing, going to Chilled's house. He was supposed to pick me up at around 5 P.M. and since it was lunch time I had time to kill. Since Ritz and Chilled were busy I decided to see what my other friends were doing. I knew Minx was probably doing something with Krism, but I texted her anyways.

Ze: Hey Minx do you have any plans for today?

Minx: Yeah I'm hanging out with Krism and Ritz

Z: Oh ok, that's cool

Well, that scratch Minx and Krism off the list. I decided to just roam the campus for the meantime and find something to do. Since school was on break the campus was almost deserted. I walked over to the park that was nearby and hung out there for awhile. I was so exhausted that lied down in the grass and drifted off into a deep sleep. I was later awoken by someone nudging me. I opened up my eyes to see Chilled standing over me.

"Oh hey, what's up?" I still hadn't woken up and was still a little hazy.

"What are you doing sleeping on the ground?" He voice seemed to be somewhat serious.

"Oh I was bored and kinda tired so I just lied down." He just looked at me with a weird face.

"You do realize what time it is right?" I looked at my watch and it said 5:30 P.M.

"Oh no! It's past 5!" I jumped up and started to freak out. "C'mon we need to hurry." We ran as fast as we could to the bus stop and hopped on one of the buses. We arrived at Chilled's house not too late. Apparently the only people that are going to be there are me, Chilled, and his parents. We entered his house and were met with his mother.

"Hi, I'm Steven, you must be Chill-uh-Anthony's mom." I didn't know what else to say, so we just shook hands.

"Yes, it's nice to finally meet you." We walked into the dining room where all of the food was. I met his father and we all sat down to eat. We talked about how we met as well as a bunch of other things. About an hour later we finished and I was about to head home. Me and Chilled walked outside to say goodbye.

"See, that wasn't too bad, was it?"

"Yeah I suppose not." I started to walk away when Chilled grabbed my arm and turned me around. He brought my face close to his and connected our lips together. It was the first kiss we had that he had started. After a minute we stopped kissing and said our goodbyes.

"I'll see you later." I waved goodbye to him still blushing from the kiss he gave me. After the bus ride home I walked to my dorm and stood in front of the door. I really hope that Ritz isn't in there when I walk in because I am already exhausted. I continued hesitating about opening the door. I decided to just get over it and open the door. I grabbed the handle and slowly pushed the door open. There was no sign of anyone in there so u closed the door behind me and rushed to my room just in case he was in his room. I got in my room turned off the light and fell onto my bed. I lied there and was glad that uet another tiring day was over and knew that tomorrow would most likely be the day I would have to talk to Ritz about the other day.
