The sun had gone down and we were surrounded by stars in the sky. We were all sitting on logs around the fire we had started earlier that evening. We brought the ingredients for s'mores and roasted marshmallows over the fire. While we were sitting around the fire, Minx suggested that we tell spooky stories. They all volunteered me to go first and with little time to prepare, I decided to go with more of a stupid story.
"On a night not like tonight, in a forest somewhat like this, there were three teenagers camping in said woods. They were sitting around a campfire like many people do, when they heard a strange noise. It was coming from deep in the woods, so they investigated the Boise and discovered that it was laughter. When they finally found the source of the noise, they knew that they were doomed. It was two terrible monsters thay were the most horrible thing known to man. It was...two...teenage girls. The end!" I looked around the campfire and looked at the faces of everyone. Ritz was laughing, but Chilled was laughing even harder. There was a dead chilling silence coming from where Minx and Krism were sitting. Their faces began to scare me.
"I-It was a joke guys." My voice began to stutter and the two stood up.
"We'll show you terrifying monsters." Minx lunged at me and I ran away as fast as I could. She regained her balance and joined Krism in chasing me around camp.
"Don't just sit there; help me out one of you." My cry for help was useless as I found myself somehow being lifted up by the two. They carried me close to the fire and acted like they were about to throw me in.
"Now hold on, we can talk about this." They ignored my plea and counted down to throwing me in. At the last second they stopped and dropped me right next to the fire.
"It was just a joke." Minx teased trying to impersonate me from earlier.
"Ok, Ok, I get it. I won't mess with you again." I quickly returned to the log I was sitting at and stayed at the opposite side of the fire as the two girls. We continued the night with more stories being told. Eventually everyone got tire and we got ready to sleep in our tents. Since there were three of us in one tent there was only a small amount of extra space, but we managed to fit in somewhat comfortably. We still have one day left of our camping adventure and I was looking forward to what it had in store.
