"Again!!" I yelled furiously and bonked Kousei on the head with my library book. "Hey! Cut it out!" he yelled at me. "No! You cut it out! Your not playing right!" I said. Kousei frowned. "But yes I am!" he said. "Your emotions aren't exposed in the song! Isn't that why you picked this song? Because it has a meaning to you!?" I asked. He looked away from my eyes. I smiled. "Yes, that's the reason I picked this song." he said.

"See? You just have to expose that emotion!" I said and flung my arms in the air. "Angelina...what if I cant do it?" he asked. I sighed deeply in annoyance. Kousei has played multiple times since he was a kid and now with me. Why is he doubting himself now? "All we need is confidence!-Charlie Brown!" I said proudly. His eyes got larger. "Did you just say Charlie Brown?" he asked. I chuckled. "Duh! Actually I only know that quote because my mom likes that show." I said.

"Your really just like her..." he mumbled. I hummed and looked at him. "Nevermind.." he said. Footsteps echoed through my ears and I turned around to see a girl in our age group holding a small case that probably held a flute, recorder, or something else small. "Um....where do I put this?" she asked shakily. "Oh you put it on that shelf!" I said and pointed to it. She nodded quickly and when she put her case up she immediately ran out.

"She was in a hurry." Kousei said and ran his fingers across the piano keys. "Kousei...did you see that?" I asked him. He hummed. "Her legs.." I said. Before I knew it I had began speed walking out the room. Kousei called out my name but I ignored him. That girl...her legs....they were...

Weren't they..covered in scars?

Shuffling, yelling, and sobbing escaped from the quiet hallways. The picture in front of me was...disturbing. This girl who dropped off her instrument. She was being harassed. Well more like bullied. A group of guys who apparently hadn't heard of belts were all around her. Three of them if you wanted to be more detailed. "Are you going to cry again?" one of them said teasingly. She pressed her lips together and didn't answer.

"The little bitch will. She's too weak that she'll cry anytime of the day. That's why she's has a flat chest!" another one said. Bitch? Did he just call that girl a dog? Did he just talk about her chest? Why does that matter? Where were the teachers? Why wasn't anyone helping her? Maybe it was because it was afterschool. Were these boys waiting for her so that they could do this? Just to mess with her?

I felt a hand gently on my shoulder and I knew who it was. "Angelina...lets go..." Kousei whispered quietly. But I wouldn't move form my place. My eyes were locked on her. How scared she was. How her face was wet from her water works. And how her body shook and trembled. This girl wasn't scared...no...she was frightened. "Come on lets go do what we did to her yesterday! But maybe this time we can make bigger scars on her." the other male said and harshly grabbed her necklace she wore off with a snap. She gasped and he smirked while gripping her arm tightly. She probably had a bruise now.

I shoved Kouseis hand off of me and walked towards them. I had had enough of this. "Leave her alone." I said. They raised their eyebrows and turned their attention to me. They were maybe a year older then me and of course since I was short I had to bend my head back to look at them. Mean and cranky kids. Just by looking at them you could tell they didn't know the first thing about being human.

"Who's this?" one asked. "Your trying to be a hero or somethin?" one asked. "Tch please your so small I could step on you right now." one said and they all snickered. The girl stumbled backwards before running off. I didn't mind her leaving me with these monsters. I would've done the same. Kousei was standing behind the wall watching me with worry.

"Go on! Say something you little twerp!" another male said to me. "Honestly I hate three things in the world. One, cheaters. Two, the words "I can't", and three people like you. I hate people who are shallow and pick on other people for the things they cant change. "She's too tall." Its not like she can control her height. "He has a big nose." What's he suppose to do? Change it just for your likings? "She has a weird face." And? Why do you care? "He has crooked teeth." Not everyone can afford braces. " Her skin is ugly." She didn't get to chose her skin. "She's really flat chested." Its genetics. Get over it. People cant chose their families, money, facial structures, body types, or anything else! Don't fucking pick on them because of dumb crap like that! If your going to hate someone you should hate yourself! Your the real monsters here." I said bodily. I don't usually curse but....I was angry today..

Every single one of them had their jaws flat opened. Their eyes held shock in them. I stood on my tippi toes and snatched the strangers necklace out the chubby ones hand. "I'll be taking this. Thank you very much." I said and gave Kousei a glance. "Come on. I know where she went." I said and walked off. Kousei nodded and quickly walked by my side. Maybe, no hopefully those guys will take that information and use it in life. Maybe what I said was useless but I had to get it out.

"How did you know?" Kousei asked me. "If I was being bullied I would go to the rooftop too." I said. I was correct like always! The young girl was sitting on a bench on the roof. She was hugging her legs and her face was buried in her arms. I sat down beside her along with Kousei and she eyed us. "Its you.." she said.

"Here" I said and dangled her necklace in her eyes. She gasped and took it. It had a black quarter note on it. I thought it was cute. "Thank you.." she said and sniffed. Her face was still overfilling with tears. She had dark brown hair with black glasses and freckles. Her skin was slightly pale and she wore the school uniform but with longer sleeves then the other girls. "Stop cutting yourself. Your skin isn't paper." I said.

She raised an eyebrow. "What?" she said. "Angelina?" Kousei asked. "Don't play innocent. Your sleeves are longer and I can see a pocket knife hanging out your schoolbag with little blood on it. Stop it." I said. She bit her lip. "But...But I don't know what to do...I don't have anyone" she said and started to cry again. "You have us." I said. She stopped and looked at us. Her new acquaintances. Her new friends. Kousei did a small smile.

"No one should be treated like that." he said softly. "By the way. They probably wont be bothering you anytime soon." I said. She wiped her tears away even though more replaced them and smiled. "Really?" she asked. "Yeah." I said. "Thank you..." she said gently. I chuckled. "No problem." I said and grabbed her hand.

"Now then you are going to listen to us play this song and tell Kousei how bad he's playing it!" I yelled. "huh?" she said. Kousei gritted his teeth. "Will you cut that out!!!" he said. I laughed and grabbed his hand. "Kousei we're going to make this performance awesome for...wait....um what's your name?" I said and looked at our new friend. "R-Ruby..." she whispered. "We're going to make this awesome for Ruby! So this time show some emotion!" I said.

"Be quiet! I already was!!!!" he proclaimed. I clicked my tongue and dragged them both to the music room. My laughs, Kousei's funny anger, and Ruby's giggles captured the school.

I didn't have to look at Ruby to know what she was thinking...

This girl Angelina...she's taking me on a journey....
