"Excuse me! Ah parson me! E-Excuse me!" I said repeatedly to random kids that I squeezed by. I was in a rush today at school. It wasn't long before I had arrived and I was trying to quickly locate Kousei. I went to his locker and found him taking his ear buds out about to place them inside. Ruby stood beside him staring at her feet. I smiled widely and ran to them both. "Kousei! Kousei!" I yelled and grabbed his arm. He gasped at the sudden physical connection and the noise made Ruby even look up.

"W-What is it! You nearly scared me Angelina!" he said. I grabbed an envelop from my skirt pocket and showed both Kousei and Ruby it. Their eyes went wide and I smiled at their reactions.

"We really did it Kousei. We made it to the finals!" I said happily.

"Can you believe it!" I said to Kousei afterschool. "This is amazing. If we make this you could go to the nationals." he said. "I know! That's what makes this exciting!" I said as we walked to the rooftop. "Have you told anybody else other then me and Ruby?" he asked. "No not yet. I just received the mail this morning and I didn't call anyone. Of course my parents know but that's all." I said. "I see.." he said.

I saw Ruby in the hallway while we were walking and waved at her. "Hey Ruby! Where are you going?" I asked her. She had her schoolbag and her flute case with her. "Oh no where really. Just going home." she said. Her shyness level had died down a bit. She was more of herself around us now. "Do you want to go to the rooftop with us?" I invited her. She smiled. "I would love to but todays my sisters birthday." she said. "I didn't know you had a sister." Kousei said. "Me neither." I said.

"Well I don't really speak much about her." she said and pushed her glasses up. "How old is she turning?" I asked. "10." she said. "That's nice." Kousei said. "Well we'll catch you later! Okay!? Have fun!" I said. She nodded with a small high pitch laugh and skipped out the school doors. I smiled at Kousei and we both walked to the school rooftop.

"Its chilly up here." I said once we arrived. "Its always cooler up on the roof. I never understood why though." Kousei said. The day had a cool wind to it but the sky was a warm blue and the fluffy clouds that were more like cotton candy coated the sky. The sun was peeking out yet barley there signaling it was about to get dark in a while.

"Thank you Kousei. Again." I said. "Why are you thanking me?" he asked. "Because you've stuck through with me from the beginning of the competition and back. I'm truly grateful." I said. He smiled and blushed. "Y-Your welcome Angelina. I-I enjoyed it though. Playing with you and discovering your magnificent talents." he said. "Without Tsubaki we would have never met! Ha!" I said. "We probably would've met. But I wouldn't have given you the time of day." he said.

"You were cold when I first met you. I was afraid that you were an imposter or something! Really though..." I said. "I apologize for how I acted before. I was just....going through something." he said. "I know. I understand Kousei. Its fine." I said. A bird and its children flew above in the sky how ever so gracefully. Their wings flapping violently in the air and the squawking from their mouths that we called chirping.

"By the way I also wanted to apologize for always hitting you and forcing you to practice!" I said nervously and rubbed the back of my hair. He laughed. "Its okay! Your pestering actually helped me move further. Even though it was a hassle." he said and the breeze made his hair fly. His smile. His flaws. His personality. It was all so wonderful. When I met him I loved him. Even when he was rude to me I somehow still loved him. And right now...even though I know he doesn't love me I still love him. Why?

"Before you say anything else I already have a song for us to perform!" I announced. He frowned. "But you just got the letter today. How could you already have a song?" he asked. "I made it when I was 9. It was actually about a crush I had when I saw him perform at the Concert Hall. I called it "My Symphony." I said hoping he'd get the memo.
