Chapter 6

I scream...

I hear the door open but I don't open my eyes "Caroliena wake up sweetie your safe."

I wake up and start crying. I look up when I feel tears in my eyes it's Harold "Harry..." I sob in his shoulder. He continues to rub my shoulder. I finish crying. "Thank you."

"No problem" Harold leans in and kisses me on the cheek. I gasp. He lays me down and tucks me in and holds me until I fall back asleep.

When I wake up Harold is gone and its morning. I smell food cooking. I get up and get ready for the morning. I get to the kitchen and everyone is here. "Good morning Caroliena, how did you sleep?" They start grinning.

"You heard last night?"

"Of course we came to the door but we had seen Harold in there with you. It was adorable." They all smile.

"Thanks for helping me go back to sleep." I look up at Harold's blue eyes and adorable bed head.

He smiles "no problem" we all hear the door ring. Chad goes to the door. "Caroliena there's someone at the door for you." I go to the door and I see him...my uncle Mikey.

"Mikey..." I run up to him.

He starts to talk in Arabic, I look at him like he's crazy. He then remembers that I don't speak Arab. "Caroliena I haven't seen you since you were about five years old."

"How are you and your family?"

"There good they are at your old house."

"The house was under a lifetime contract and it was under your name. So once you turn 18 the house is yours, but for now they refurbished it and it looks brand new. So we can stay there for a few."

"Thank you Mikey."

"No problem Caroliena. Do you want to go and meet your cousins?"

"Sure!" I look at the Wilkins "thank you for taking me in and helping me with everything."

"No problem Caroliena. We all enjoyed your company."

I smile I look at Harold "can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Of course." We go outside.

"Thank you so much for last night and helping me go back to sleep I appreciated that. I hope that we can still see each other."

"You're welcome I could see that you needed it and so did I." I hug him and we go back to the others.

"I'm ready Mikey."

"Bye Caroliena..." I hear them say when we get to the car.

"Mikey how have you been?"

"I have been good, you Caroliena?"

"Did I tell you about Laurie?"

"No, what happened to her?"

"Nothing I tried to tell her about her boyfriend, like how he hit me. Laurie doesn't believe me. She thinks I'm lying."

"He hits you!" He looks at me quickly.

"Yea and Laurie doesn't believe me when I tell her."

"I'll talk to her she doesn't know that I'm here though so let's go and surprise her and get your things out of the house."

"Wait we're going now?"

"Yes. Now!"

"Ok." We go to Laurie's house. I let us in and we see that Justin is here. I tell Mikey to wait by the door.
