Broken Promises

The singing melody of the morning birds seeped into her ears, it was the time when she realized the morning came. She lifted her heavy eyelids letting the sunlight piecre into her eyes. Just when she looked at the blank space beside her, she realized that she was alone, again.

The moment they cuddled in the bed was like a dream of her night. It wasn't the first time she woke up with the blank beside her on the bed. But still, she couldn't use to get that.

She lifted herself up to sit on the bed, and looked around. The room was silent more than in the graveyard. She threw the blanket out of her body and slided her feet into the slippers. She headed to the bathroom and stood in front of the full mirror. She grabbed her toothbrush and put some toothpaste on there. As she brushed her teeth, she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

The moment they brushed their teeth together standing here side by side was just like in the day before yesterday. Chanyeol used to care for her more than enough before. And that's what she loves about him. They smiled at each other when they woke up together, when they stood in front of this mirror together. But now, that smile was no where to be found. Not even to talk about the smile, there is no figure of him now.

She threw the toothbrush into the sink and she splashed her own face with the water, until even her hair got wet a bit. She looked herself in the mirror, this was horrible.

She knew herself what's wrong. But he never noticed that. And maybe, he would never. And she's sure she hates that so much.

She has to endure because she's his wife.

That statement is she hates the most in this world.

Jinri went to downstairs after calming herself down. Chanyeol always told her that she had to be seem elegant and calm in front of the people, as his wife. And so, she always stays like what he wants.

" Oh, Jinri. You awake?", it was Victoria who greeted her when she entered the kitchen.

" Yeah, Unnie.. Good morning.", she gave a smile to the elder and she took a glass of water.

" I prepared the bread and coffee for you.", said Victoria.

" I don't want to eat.", she shook her head slightly.

" Why? You don't like it? What do you want to eat?", Victoria asked with a worrying face.

" No. I don't want to eat anything. I've no appetite.", she said with a smile that made the elder to sigh.

" Jinri, you should eat something..", Victoria walked towards the younger.

" What's wrong? You aren't feeling well?", she wrapped her hand around her shoulders and gave a soft pat.

" I'm fine..", Jinri forced a smile. After a while, a maid entered the kitchen just before Jinri left.

" Mrs. Park.. There is a guest in the living room.", the maid said.

Her eyes narrowed at the thoughts there might be no one who could visit her, " Who is it?".

" It's Jeon Manager.", the maid answered.

" Ahh.. Yeah. I'll come.", Jinri nodded. And then, the maid took her steps out.

" Why is he here?", Victoria asked.

" I've no idea also..", Jinri shurgged off.

Jungkook got up from his seat as soon as he saw the girl walking towards him. He bowed at the elder as a respect.

Jinri took the seat at the heading chair and asked, " What's matter?".

"Mr. Park wants you to come to the company.", he said.
