QUESTION FOR TODAY: What's your favourite hobby? (mine is writing)

"Oh my god!"

"Who is she?"

"Who did this?"

Whispers ran through the crowd as I pressed my face into the ground, completely numb. She was gone. Everyone was gone.

I felt a hand on the small of my back and I instantly knew it was Damien. Normally, I would have shrugged him off, but after seeing my world crumble before my eyes his tender touch was welcomed.

"Who did this?" He roared.

No one answered. The only sounds that broke the tense silence were my broken sobs.

My uncle Tom, of course, was nowhere to be seen. He was the only family I had left, and he wasn't here to console me. I felt hatred ripple throughout my feeble form, and my hands curled into fists.

"I've lost everyone." I screamed. "Everyone. And my own UNCLE isn't here to help me!"

Damien took me into his arms and whispered soothing words into my ears, desperately trying to ease my pain. I sobbed into his chest.

"I've lost everyone," I whispered.

He waved the pack away. They reluctantly entered the house and resumed their chores, completely shocked. He placed a soft, tender kiss on my forehead and drew circles on my back.

"You haven't lost everyone, Thea. I'm still here." he assured.

Damien's POV (#you'rewelcome)

It was only when I heard Thea's scream that I abandoned my office and took off running. My wolf was spurring me on, growling at the sound of her distress.

As I reached the stairs, I noticed Thea's old room; the walls were dripping with fresh blood, and the furniture had been turned upside down. My wolf, whose blood ran with the power of an Alpha, howled from inside of me. He despised the fact that someone had managed to do such a thing on his territory.

"Alpha, quick! Thea, and this girl, and this-"

Jake was completely frantic. I gritted my teeth.

"Jake, calm the fuck down. Just show me where she is." I ordered.

He caught his breath and took off running once more, bolting through the winding pack halls.

Help her. My wolf barked.

I didn't even pay heed to the ghastly sight before me as I kneeled beside my hysterical mate. To see her sobbing like she was, with her face pressed against the cold ground, broke my heart. She was my soulmate, my world, and to see her shattering before my eyes was pure agony. As cheesy as it sounds, I needed her.

As I pulled her into my arms, I cast my eyes to what had caused her such pain. A girl, who I assumed to be Thea's friend, was mounted on a spike with a spear through her heart. Anger bloomed in my chest and I struggled to remain composed.

"Who did this?" I roared, fighting my wolf.

He wanted to escape my control and wreak havoc upon whoever committed such a horrific crime. My wolf was infamous for his bloodlust. Instead, I busied myself with comforting my grief stricken mate, who was clutching fistfuls of my shirt. I waved the rest of the pack off; Jake, who was clutching the roots of his hair, reluctantly stepped inside.
