QUESTION FOR TODAY: Who regrets some of the choices they made when deciding what to study for GCSE? (GCSEs are the equivalent to finals)

"You need to give up, T."

It had been twelve hours since my protest had begun. On hourly intervals, Damien would send someone to try and coax me from my makeshift prison.

Now, as Jake spoke softly through the door, my resolution began to waver.

"I can't, Jake. I refuse to let him take advantage of me!" I argued.

"It's tradition. You can't persecute him for following the rules." he sighed.

I rolled my eyes and slumped against the door, contemplating my options. Realistically, I should be caving to my mate's wishes; not only can he shift into a terrifyingly large animal, but he was also the leader of other terrifyingly large animals. I was achingly aware of the fact that Damien could rip this door from its hinges at any given time. He was playing with me.

I grimaced as realisation dawned on me. He was in control of this whole situation; no matter what I did, no matter what I said, he would always be one step ahead of me.

After a momentary pause, I offered Jake a reply. "Tell the Alpha that I am prepared to make a deal."

"Does that mean you'll come outside?" he asked.

"Hell no!" I objected, straightening. "He can come to me."

Jake heaved a sigh before retreating downstairs. A long silence followed his departure and I combed my fingers through my unruly tresses, regretting my decision to grow it out.

"Why won't you just admit defeat?"

I gasped and turned around. Damien, who had obviously clambered through the shattered window, was staring at me with such intensity that my heart leapt into my throat.

"Why won't you treat me like a human being? It isn't fair, Damien, and you know that. I don't want to be eaten in front of your mob of horny wolves!"

Damien growled. "First of all, being marked holds no similarities to being eaten. Secondly, I do not lead a mob. We lead a pack."

"You're fucking deluded." I spat.

Silence followed my harsh outburst. I exhaled deeply and gathered my thoughts.

"Anyway, the deal. I will attend the Luna Ceremony, but you will mark me in private on a later date." I said, shifting my weight from one foot to another.

"Alright."

"No, mister fucking Alpha dude, I think you'll find that you-" I registered his reply and gasped in shock. "Wait, what?"

"Please don't make me repeat it." he sulked.

I squealed in elation and wrapped my legs around his waist. He grunted in response and I peppered kisses along his jawline until my lips met his. He knotted his hands in my hair and I smiled against his lips, delighted.
